There are at least 10 major IPs that I can see immediately jumping on this idea, knowing full well they have the kind of audience who WILL cuck out to it. There's COD players and the sports game (fifa, madden, etc.) players. You really only need about 5 or 10 to make this the standard for every big release. It won't even have to be AAAA, just anything they want to act like deserves the pricing. A new God of War game can easily get bullshitted into having that price tag. Do you really not think they wouldn't have priced Ragnarock that high if it was post GTA6? Companies like EA are looking for any excuse to do this.
The first trailer was already lame as fuck, it's all about "look you can live the life of a celebrity, buy drugs from niggers, drive sports cars, go to clubs to dance", it just looks like lowest common denominator garbage, both main characters are also uninteresting, one is a foid the other is a generic guy with absolutely nothing going for him, compare to older protagonists, he's just boring and uninspired. GTA 5 already had a mid story carried by interesting setpieces and dialogue, I'm sure 6 will have good setpieces as well, but the dialogue will be boring, neutered by real world politics and uninteresting characters.
