I thought their relationship was special until I read traces of two pasts. Jessie basically falls in love with Tifa out of nowhere because she's pretty. In fact, despite how harsh the slums are, everyone seems to be nice to Tifa because of her looks.After Jessie died, Tifa barely remembered her. After Aerith died, Tifa just wanted Cloud to get over her already. She seems to not care about her supposed friends.
