Kris is tortured by literally everyone else existing in the universe because they all desire freedom and being free and having their idyllic lives forever, and it's robbed from Kris at every step of the game. The only friend he has is Susie and that's being ripped from him by Noelle. It must hurt a lot because whether Kris accepted the duty of fulfilling the prophecy by choice or by force maybe he knows he actually COULD have all this friendship and awesomeness IF he decides to say fuck the prophecy, I'm done playing hero. I for one can't wait for the straw that breaks the camel's back with Kris; to witness the explosive rebellion to the fate he was consigned to. Hopefully it will happen in Chapter 6.

Putting the game down for today, currently on the secret boss. I don't know how to feel about it so far. Gameplay wise the chapter is great, I really love the perspective shifts and whatnot. But the flowers are just nowhere near as charming as toby wants them to be. A few of them are fun but the rest just drag the pacing to a crawl. Secret Boss wasn't nearly as interesting conceptually or plot-wise. Not to say there weren't incredibly cool moments, of course. It's just...now what?
