Unity or Unreal Engine?
No idea. Seems UE results in good looking games though.I think the go is make something in world, scan it, and that as in game mesh and texture. World and characters. And let nanite take care of mesh complexity and LOD.Made by bad people for bad people, but it's probably usable.
>>741840627If you ask, you are a beginner. If you are a beginner, Unity.
>>741840627It depends on what your goal is.2d game? Unity100% GPU usage in the main menu? Unreal 5
>>741840627I like unity moreFirst game on UE5 that has impressed me with graphixx is Gothic Remake but it has the usual UE stutter
>>741840627Doesn't matter, you are never going to do the effort to get that game out of your head and into reality anyway.
>>7418406271) Why are you involving code if you're just creating a widget and calling it via a blueprint?2) It doesn't work because you didn't add the playerpawncontroller as the owner of the widget
>>741840627unitno one should ever use unreal engine for anything, ever, under ANY circumstances. it is the most dogshit failure of an engine ive ever seen

I do remember the out-of-the-box solution for UI being complete dog shit in unreal and looking into replacement libraries. It was just absurdly bad.
>>741840627godot is really comfy. gdscript is stupid easy to learn too.
>>741844949Context? Did someone lolified the robot logo?
>>741845176Unity's original system was shit too.The current one is okay, although it has very meh performances for something that simple.
>>741845356Godot has a retarded shit on their discord server were the background of the profile pic of their logo gets switched to a gif that cycles through different PRIDE flags then someone did a thing where they added the pedophile MAP flag to that and tried to peddle it around as actually being real.
>>741844769lol lmao
>>741845439But... every pride flag is already a MAP flag.
