because both sony and nintendo have a niche they excel at. sony makes games that dominate the news cycle for a week or two, nintendo makes the same slop that 4 generations of players have grown up with. xbox just doesn't have their niche. they tried with gamepass but nobody wants 50 okay-ish games, they want 10 great games.
