Forget about Ocarina of Time, this might just be the most overrated one of them all.

It was first revealed on E3 2000, and in a very crude state

Thank goodness that SotC wasn't delayed for a year and released as a PS3 launch title

>This masterpiece sure came out of nowhere in 2001
That was considered the norm, master piece after master piece every fucking year.
I mean in 2004 we got:
>Half-Life 2
>Ninja Gaiden
>MGS3
>Far Cry
>Halo 2
>Fable
>GTA: San Andreas
>The Suffering
>Pikmin 2
>Burnout 3
>The Chronicles of Riddick
Hell, in 2005 we got RE4, God of War, DMC3, SotC and many others.
I fucking miss going to Blockbuster every week and finding some killer game to rent, there was so many that I just resorted to renting them instead of buying, which is something I really do regret.

I played it not long ago for the first time. As well as shadow of the colossus. Those games have something very special about them. I like how it's sort of a shared universe but not really. The parallels. The uniqueness.

Interesting. Everyone sees more or less the same things now because of the internet, so I wonder how much they're tainted by it and how much creativity suffers. You rarely get the feeling of seeing something new.

in my opinion it's the implied worldbuilding that makes it interesting, unique structures built for people who are no longer there, it replicates the feeling i used to have as a young teenager when i'd skip school and explore random parts of my city that were empty while everybody was at work
no other game managed to provide this sensation

SOTC is straight up a prequel.

Sounds cool. I find them interesting too. Fumito Ueda said they were more just for the gameplay if I'm not mistaken, which was surprising.
>>
Ueda has a different approach to level design now
>>
zoomers can't comprehend this level of artistry in vidya or in general.
