Nah the whole campaign lacks something that the original trilogy had. The music isn’t nearly as memorable or energising. The game feels sluggish. There’s too much saturation. The elites and brutes look like shit. Enemies are so bullet spongey you’re forced into noob comboing your way through the whole campaign which sucks. All the characters have barely any screen time before they’re quickly killed one after the other, despite being humanity’s elite warriors. All the cool armours are used by noble team and the only way to play them is make yourself a copy cat. It just sucks.

The reveal of the Covenant fleet being much bigger wouldn't have had nearly the same effect and weight if you hadn't spent half the game building up to it though. First half of the game is hope, the second half is dread.
