>Game is very short but insanely replayable, can be beaten in a single sitting
>Has lots of optional hidden routes meaning that if you only play it once you'll miss most of the game

Unironically KINO game design. Such a shame modern games can't really do this unless its a randomized run based game because gamers will immediately start screeching about value.
>>
its good
but i would have taken a little more meat in the main mode than anything multiplayer

i hate their voices so fucking much bros

Katt ended up actually looking fine in the end. Not amazing, but fine, and certainly doesn't look like a meth addict. Basically everyone was freaking out over a shitty AI attempt at a blurry image.

Not amazing but fine should be 2026 Nintendo's slogan jej

did they add Out of This Dimension?

The only reason I would buy this is for the multiplayer.

I mean, methhead Katt specifically really was an AI thing this time.

I do like arcadey games, sad that they seem to be a bit of a lost art in mainstream gaming. I wonder if Star Fox will ever get another pure rail shooter sequel.
>>741865732
I don't have the game but I think they only kept the 64 levels.

I hate randomization slop gameplay. It ruined the whole indie scene

they had the perfect opportunity to cram in a few more routes, and effectively make this double up as a sequel to 64, but nooooooo.

Cocky little freak and his scream is more enjoyable than what it was replace with. If they went over the top japanese accent maybe it could been something but that would had been to racist so it's just bland.

Challenge mode needs to remix enemy placement significantly to give the game some sort of variety.

Welcome to /v/. 95% of all complaints regarding female character design stem from taking one frame out of context and very often editing it heavily before presenting it as factual.

having a blast. cant wait to get medals on every planet to unlock expert mode and the TRUE ending
>>
>>741864865
Nah, today's zoomers can't. They all complain of any length less than 40, so every game must be padded with not-very-good filler instead of having good pacing and solid optional content.
>>
>>741864865
Why do they all sound like gay furries now?
>>
>>741877704
I will not watch this but the title is correct. Assault is the only worthy sequel to 64, it actually tried to expand and add on to the gameplay rather than replacing it with something completely different, and it continued the story in a satisfying way, evolving the tone in a more serious direction with it. It also had decent voice acting without trying to copy 64. It wasn't an amazing or even great game, but it was a good game that could've been improved on with a sequel, and the multiplayer was very fun.
>>
>>741883272
actually seen old people complain it's too short and for kids with adhd, so not entirely accurate assessment
>>
>>741883510
the problem is that assault was a multiplayer only title that had 3 rail shooting levels tacked on in the final months of development. Almost all of its campaign missions are repurposed multiplayer levels that while they function well in multiplayer are really boring in singleplayer.

This game is just proof you should never hire non-furries to make a furry game
>>
I've never played a Star Fox game and I think it's really good. Might be the best looking Nintendo game yet (character models aside).

>Has lots of optional hidden routes meaning that if you only play it once you'll miss most of the game
Fuck you.
I popped in the game at 20:00 for my first playthrough, at 20:50 the credits rolled.
It can do all routes in 4 runs. If you skip the cutscenes(which you should, it adds nothing unless you are 8), its a 160 minutes long. If you cut out some planets you have to do 2 times, we are looking at a game with 2 hours of content.

But wait there's more! From those 14(?) Planets, 3 are fucking terrible and boring to replay and the average completion time per level on my end is 6 minutes. This leaves 11 missions that are kind of fun, which leaves 66 minutes of fun. But you cant do a route with only fun, so every 40 minute run will have at least over 10% of FUUUUUCK NOT THIS LEVEL AGAIN.

All in all, not a fan, should've just played it on nso and called it a day.

Killed all my hype for the OoT remake.

This game really should have been a side mode in a more expansive game (Starlink 2?) and you can enjoy it all you want, but it's starting to become a bad precedent when Pokemon Legends Z-A was the exact same way, feeling like a side game mode stretched out longer.
>>
>>741886543
it's not even a day old yet
>>
they should've made a roguelike mode that scrambles the planet order.
There was alot of potential for fun side modes and they wasted it on a multiplayer mode they deluded themselves into thinking wont die after a month
>>
>>741893042
I was hoping for some sort of added content, all they really did was make a new training mode course - which shows they could have added in a new level if they felt like it.

Even being able to play as Slippy/Pepper/Falco in the main campaign could have been a relatively easy way to add more replayability - just change around their handling or abilities a bit.

I thought Nintendo and Amazon had some sort of feud going, their stuffs back on there for same day releases?

A feud? First I heard of it. But yeah, same day release. Just delayed. I could have gone to the local gamestop or walmart and gotten it faster at this rate!

It's good but it should have been $20 at best. It's not the 20th century anymore, you can't charge this much for something you can 100% in 4 hours or so.
>>
>>741864865
I want nintendo to just realize nobody cares about this ip and no advertising in movies is gonna change that
Let it go already

>>741887809
Its made by the guys behind the N-Sane Trilogy.
>>
>>741894387

The challenges on Expert are hard, it will take at least 10-15 hours if you are very skilled
probably more for most

this but GTA VI. open world slop is so outdated at this point
