Like any game I base it on their soundtrack. FFXIV wins despite WoW having iconic tracks because of the sheer number of songs that fit so well for the adventure and area. Style I would also put in favor of FFXIV but combat definitely WoW. Interface both are in my opinion really shit. Story in Final Fantasy favor by a LARGE margin. It is not even funny like people gave them crap for the crappy exotic lands but it is still less cringe inducing than the whole Jailor arc WoW had and especially the current stories. The only thing gayer than current WoW is GW2

Aren't they both in a really bad place right now? They both drank the koolaid and their games don't resemble anything close to what made people like them. WoW has gotten super colorful and bright and cheerful, like Steven Universe Calarts shit where they would rather wag their finger at you, instead of do any actual war stuff. FF14 has been stuck in the worst expansion and they continually are releasing all these modern korean outfits in what was a steampunk/fantasy game, that is all futuristic and retarded atm. Who even wanted to go to fantasy mexico and learn to eat tacos like you have down syndrome? Pray for Guild Wars 3, because these two are cooked.

If FF had WoW's wardrobe and map system, it would be the MMO if the decade.
