I have a theory that the support bonuses in this game will only be temporary. At least until they aren't.Ultand and her friends start with support level 2, even though she's just a teal unit.In the arena you can eat with them, complete tasks, play golf or whatever, and that will increase their support level by a certain number of points, up to five, but only for that one chapter.I suppose there will be ways to initiate support conversations to permanently increase their support level.Otherwise I doesn't make sense to me why so many characters have high support level in the early game, even a green unit like Ultand.

It also helps to have someone who can use Tornado/Bolg/Thoron in the late game for the wyverns/tigers/dragons. It's also one of the most generous games with siege tomes if you're keen.
