What does /v/ think of botw's master mode?

When does this shit game get good? Into the third area and so far it's a Far Cry clone with much worse bases and zero gunplay (the thing that makes Far Cry fun). The shrines are entirely trivial and perfunctory, piss baby easy make-work.

Still gotta get it. Going to at some point. Same with some other game dlcs. Hope the games dont get removed in the meantime

The regenerating health makes some of the bosses nearly impossible, especially the rematches in the Champion’s ballad where you have limited resources. Windblight Ganon is the worst but the final boss is really annoyingly hard too.

I wish Totk got a master mode but without the regenerating health

Didn't really see the purpose in it. It's not actually harder, just tedious, and for 99% of the game you can still play it the same way you would in Normal; just walk by everything because there is almost literally nothing gatekeeping progression.
It doesn't fix A.I.,
It doesn't create contexts for mandatory encounters,
It doesn't take advantage of the survival mechanics,
It barely does anything at all, except take $20 out of your bank account.
Genuinely one of the most pathetic modes added on to one of the most pathetic games ever developed.
Nintendo needs to touch grass and erase Iwata's faggotry from the company's history.

i played through it recently and it's only hard at the beginning and or if you don't know the base game much
it feels like the correct difficulty for a nice challenge, but once you get the ball rolling it feels like the base game
honestly in some aspects it felt easier because they constantly place those floating platforms everywhere and they just straight up have diamonds in the chests
regenerating health was cool because it just pushed me to play much more aggressive and was pretty engaging
it made me have to think about combat situations differently, form different strats and use items i haven't bothered with before, like holy shit electric weapons are busted
it's 100% not something i'd recommend someone if they haven't gone through the game normally though
