The game developer profession was too crowded anyway. Too many space fillers that basically do one very specific thing for 6 figures and "middle men" whose only job is to write e-mails and do useless calls all day. I watched a few documentaries about early Bethesda studios game development and it's incredible how a game dev from 1998-2006 did so much work on his own. That's why games from that era are timeless masterpieces. You didnt need a 300-400 man team to create 1 game every 6 years, these studios had maybe 50-60 active devs on average and churned out a game every 3 years.Good riddance of those DEI millenial "game developers", maybe the video game industry needs exactly this to reset itself.
