Sure, Marathon doesn't have a safe pocket but it has direct to the bank credit uploads you can find and the shops give you a ton of free shit and free kits. Marathon is also far simpler when it comes to understanding objectives, controls, and what items do what.

As an extraction game with Tarkov as the gold standard, it falls short and doesn't even compete with Tarkov rip-offs like ABI or the systems that Gray Zone has been working with. It's both the most hardcore extraction experience and one of the more shallow ones at the same time, and it will never see general market acceptance because of it

>>741900326for those who are sad about this, look at it on the bright side. some of these "devs" who were only in it for the money and woke activision will inevitably end up flipping burgers at McDonald's, some will keep failing upwards and get hired by another faceless woke corporation, and some who are really passionate about vidya will start their own small indie studios and make some memorable bangers. I'm looking forward to that star wars racing game, which is being made by ex-burnout devs.
