The game is also badly optimized, but that doesn't change the fact that the rest of the game is 10 out of 10. Everything. Baldur's Shart 3 on the other hand is an insult to the community. I am not a homophobe, but the devs are very autistic when it comes to writing romance. Its cringeworthy. I tried romancing Gale and Lae'zel in each playthrough and backed away after witnessing some of most cringiest dialogue I have seen. Then there is the problem of "pushing" romance on the player. Many companions do this like The Emperor and Halsin. If you try to be just a little "friendly" with any companion, the next dialogue would be about having sex. This hypersexualization is such a huge turn off, it dehumanizes the characters. Disco Elysium is story a game made for communists. It is very subtle but once you notice it, you can't take your eyes off it. Gameplay doesn't matter here, it is a more of a visual novel. The same goes for Zero Parades: For Dead Spies, another game ZA/UM made. All choices boil down to basically - you are LE bad for choosing anything but the workers and their struggles. It is like someone just sat me down and started giving a 20-hour long lecture on the communist manifesto.

The damage penalty on fighting enimes above your level really bugged me. The game presents as an action game but really its a level/stat check. One of my primary memories is spending 10mins beating a hag to death because she was like 10 levels over me. I won, but it was dumb. And combat wasnt super fun either. I also wasnt a big fan of how investigation worked since alot of time it felt like I was just using witcher vision and having geralt make comments on what it was. I would had prefered a game where I spend time reading books, deducing what the monster is myself, and prepping for it.
