Is this game good yet? I remember it having an awful release and pissing people off. Has it been long enough that it's now fixed?

it's... alright. like the story and the first however many title update monsters are just such a slog. so much walking and talking i can understand most people dropping it. once you get to the point of fighting like tempered seregi and lagi it stops being absurdly braindead, kinda. the monsters leading up just were not balanced enough for focus and wounds. honestly it doesn't really feel balanced until 8+ star tempered quests, the monsters are generally quick enough and the wounds spawn a little less by that point so it feels a bit more engaging. auto walk seikrat was a retarded choice, makes the game feel more like a bossrush than hunting. overall i say just wait for ascendance then avoid the defender gear if you really want to play
I didnt play any updates or DLC. I got pretty into it for a while there but not i never want to look at any monster hunter game again. I dont think this one is bad i just think the formula worked for me for a couple games and now im over it

I dropped it after the monkey sharted on me. Its just really fucking boring and the story sucks. Also lost a lot of its charm that World had.
