He's supposed to just go on an adventure, do something amazing, and be rewarded with a big titty waifu who'd handle all his daily needs. In his head this is something that was just supposed to happen by default, just like in his video games. So he didn't put in any actual effort into doing any of it. And since he keeps conflating what he does in video games with reality, he ended up genuinely confused why he didn't get the big titty waifu he thought he was supposed to have. More than anything he should've been taken off the internet and made to interact at with actual people and the world around him. I'm not saying he'd be normal. But he'd at least be grounded enough to not believe, with all his heart, that his make believe world had any relevance with the real world.
