It needs to be exciting to open.Square doesn't understand loot for some reason. in FFXIV their FLAGSHIP series, most of the loot you get is completly useless. like you see an item flashing in the distance, make your way to it and pick up 2 gil. in older Square games you could open a chest and just find the best gear in the game which doesn't even just stack boost you but gives you stuff like break HP limit or something.this shit was always awful about Zelda too, going through some puzzle just to get 50 rupees when you're already at the 999 cap

>>741929870I treated it pretty much like a top down Zelda. I enjoyed my time with it but there are some things I didn't like. Weapon progression is hit or miss, in the sense that you don't get enough time to play with certain weapons, namely the hammer. It's a fun weapon but you don't even get the final upgrade for it until the last dungeon, and by then you only get to use it for a couple boss rushes and one more boss. The final part of the game is also a slog, most of the game is relatively balanced between the story stuff and the actual game, but later on it's just story and fetch quests and not enough exploration and fighting.
