Arc Raiders was on release. Then it got taken over by bitching hugbox PvE players. People playing the game properly left in droves.
I got banned for 20 days from Path of Exile 2 because I said "SIR DO NOT REDEEM IT" in world chat. I don't think it necessarily woke leftist moderation, but shitbrown hyperfragile indian/brown moderation that is a big problem. They love inflicting pain on whites/anyone non indian, so their moderation is extremely heavy handed in all cases, and they never (ever) care about appeals or talking about it.

As the internet got faster and easier for people to use, it stopped being "That thing weirdos use all day that I use if I want to buy something on eBay" and transitioned into the social media hellscape that we know of today. Traditional forums are all but dead, because why would I want to make an account for a specific game's discussion board when I can just join that game's Discord channel and talk about it there instead? Everything is centralized now.The sites that bore the brunt of the internet's culture in it's heyday like 4chan, YTMND, Newgrounds, SomethingAwful, and the like are ghosttowns, with even 4chan going through a "totally not dead" zombie-like state. (There hasn't been a single new board added since 2021, and there hasn't been one that wasn't some sort of segregation/division of an existing board since 2017). The online landscape simply doesn't allow for the type of shenanigans that were happening in 2006 anymore. And this is before going into whatever regulations various countries are doing.Of course, you already knew this and just wanted an excuse to shitpost on /v/ about the woke mob in a vain attempt to experience the highs you had on here all those years ago.

I started playing SCPSL last year and it was still like that.Heard some N words being slung around.They've since cracked down on it.But you can still get away with most shittalk so long as it's funny, since there's a sort of meta roleplay element to the game where you're supposed to bully class D members as scientists/mtf.Good time to get back into the game, they're releasing an big update this year and reworking the surface zone.
