>>741922854if you're not a raytracing obsessed fuckwit, 9070 XT will serve someone fine, especially on a Kinux machine as OP went. and even then it does fine for Doom the Dark Ages and Indiana Jones. it's really the high end pathtracing that they lose out on which is a gimmick in a handful of games at best. the bigger issue is stability and shader consistency, but in general the 9070 XT is a better workhorse card for most stuff than dealing with NVIDIA gradually downgrading their performance per update at the absurd costs they've become. the best way to justify NVIDIA is if you have excess money to burn and are going all in on a 5080/5090 at that point.

I find it funny how people think the 9070XT is a bad card when it constantly outmatches it's Nvidia counterpart outside pathtracing stuff.Nvidia did their worst gen yet with the 5000 series, AMD did their best yet with the 9000....It could completely change, with Nvidia actually putting some effort into their cards, but right now AMD is the wisest decision.
