I live alone and move around my house like an Oblivion or Fallout 3 character. I'll walk with my fists raised and hunched over in the "unarmed running pose" and I'll run like that, stop, reset to a neutral position and then swipe something off the table (like when an NPC "loots or opens a container"). If I have something 1 handed I carry it like how the NPC wields the combat knife. So it's like in the arm positioned behind me and I'll occasionally stab and slash the air as if fighting an enemy.I'm being genuine here. I've been doing this since I played Oblivion on 360 in highschool.
