Will solid state media ever make a comeback in gaming?
>>741927821yea if you save your digital copy on your solid state drive
no it's a waste of materials to make a separate drive for each game
>>741927821>DO NOT BLOW ON THE EDGE CONNECTORWho else bricked their carts by breaking this rule?
>>741927821The vast majority of games nowadays are played off solid state media.
>>741927821Sure, if someone makes a long lasting, durable, high storage media in a nice form factor and a standard to easily plug and play into a console/PC with fast read times. Doubt anyone wants to try to make that investment though.
>>741927821It did, Gandalf. It did.
I blew on it and touched it with my fingers
>>741928380Bruh, how else would the games run? They even do it in regular show.
switch 2 still does
>>741927821it's called a hard drive, broccoli
>>741929448a hard drive isn't solid state dumboomer
>>741929613clueless........
>>741927821Too expensive Even discs are too expensive for a lot of these fuckers now
>>741927821
>>741933204Lies. It's all about ecosystem control and profit margins. You pay more for digital than physical CDs and that can be removed from service at anytime by these companies because you don't have a physical copy. Bulk cd presses are cents each. Data centers cost millions of dollars to operate.
Yeah, come November
>>741927821No, you are not allowed to own media anymore.
