With CDPR developing a fully fledged new expansion for Witcher 3, a 10 year old game, are we going to see a shift in gaming with other companies making major DLC/expansions to their older classic games?

There's tremendous opportunity there.

What you're seeing is twofold: CDPR needs some cash, and CDPR is not confident about the success of Witcher 4 and wants to associate it with Witcher 3, despite most of the staff from that era being long gone.

im going to hold off for a while on witcher 4 mainly because triple A devs can't make a game not run like shit now to save their life and cdpr has always been kind of shit at it but it got worse with cyberpunk
