Do you actually use your steam controlla
No
I won't get one because I don't like the way it looks
>>741930528Yes since the only other controller that I've ever used was the OG one
I just got mine today but it doesn't work properly. Steam can only detect it if I run it as admin and I really don't want to do that. I sent a ticket into valve about it to see if there's a fix. If I can't get it fixed then I'm going to refund it probably.
>>741930528I set up a pretty good steaminput for Warhammer 3Which is all in vain because the new warhammer games will have a controller schemebut fun nonethelessotherwise i just it as a normal controller
Yes, it's my main controller. I also use Linux which uses SDL, so I don't have to use some retarded hacky workaround like SISR to use it outside steam.
>>741930528I would if I wasn't a poorfag. Right now my main controller is DS4 and I picked it for symmetrical sticks and gyro that works without breaking analog triggers. Steam controlla is all that + moar.
>>741930528nah, cheapo 8bitdo is enough for me, I dont really use a controller often on pc.
>>741930528No, I'm anti controller, no such peasant filth shall touch my PC>b-but some gaems are better with controllerHaven't played one in 30 years were this would be true
>>741930528I would..
It replaced my pro controller, it's pretty gud and doesn't have schizo buttons.
>>741930528Why would anyone want to use those shitty trackpads instead of an actual mouse?
>>741936029So you don't need to have a keyboard in your lap.
I do for isometric games and visual novels mostly, the trackpads make visual novels better because i can just touch them instead of pressing A and they make a fine d-pad for older final fantasy games for exempleFor fighting games or shmups im sticking to my xbone controller though
>>741936029The main point is to make your Steam games more playable from the couch, for a more console-like experience, but including games that were built for m/k. Similarly, one might use the touchpads on the Deck and not a separate mouse if they are holding it as the handheld is intended to be held.
>>741930528Gay Ben won't let me buy one
>>741930528I played around with it for a few hours, otherwise no. I bought it exclusively for the Steam Frame, so I'll use it a shit ton if I'm lucky enough to win the lottery.
>>741930528I used to last night
>>741933514stop eating shit
>>741937302I'm skeptical of the extent to which this will really be used in VR games, since you can't split it in half and get two separate motion wands. Would you just play non-VR games in a theater mode on there? Think you could do that with a lot of other cheaper more basic controllers too
>>741936029Zoomers grew up on mobile and not PC. They prefer trackpads with their little mobile rotten brains.
>>741930528I don't have a Steam Controller 2. My country pays the EU a lot of money and adopt stupid EU rules in exchange for "access to the EU market." For some reason, this "access" doesn't let consumers buy Valve hardware. The EEA is a scam. #Norexit
>>741930528The thing I like the least about my steam deck by far are the controls and this thing looks like the used the same sticks and probably same buttons, so no way in hell im buying it for a hundred bucks.
I'm planning to get one because my Xbox controller I only bought a year or 2 ago has stick drift already so need a replacement and this seems atleast half decent.
I'm using mine right nowTo make this post
>>741938310>Would you just play non-VR games in a theater mode on there?Correct. I don't have a TV in my bedroom, and I gave my Steam Deck to my niece a while back. So I plan on using the Frame a lot to casually play shit in bed>Think you could do that with a lot of other cheaper more basic controllers tooI could, but I wanted a premium controller with backpaddles/buttons. I use them a ton, especially in Monster Hunter. Having the trackpads is also a HUGE bonus. I use the Apex 5 for my rig in my office. I wanted something just as good as that. If I didn't have the Apex 5, then I would honestly have gotten 2 Steam Controllers. Although, I'm not sure if Valve even lets you do that yet. I guess I would have had my buddy order one on his end and just give him the money for it.

>>741930528>Do you actually use your steam controllaswitch between it and my keyboard and trackball constantly
bump
>>741930528I bought a Steam Link off ebay shortly after receiving mine and it is a dream. Barely any perceivable latency and I can just go out of my hot ass room into the cool living room to look at my library of vidya for 30 minutes and not actually play anything
>>741930528yes i do.
>>741930528Yeah. It's great. I fucking love trackpads.
