When are we getting an ACTUAL Conan the Barbarian videogame? If the character can have a presence in other kinds of media then he can have one in actual videogames right?

>>741936268You missed it, bro.>Full city exploration>World map with many locations>Train many different fighting moves>Boris Vallejo box artIt's good.
>>741936268>Genndy ConanDidnt he already do this with Primal?
are you too scared to post on /co/
>>741936780/co/ has several Conan threads up already
Speaking of awesome Howard characters>Wandering Puritan>Comes across a young woman who has been ravaged and left for dead>Immediately dedicates the next several years of his life solely to getting revenge for her>Ends up pursuing the killer to Africa. Befriends an African mystic. Gets revenge.>Heads back to Europe to visit the wrath of the righteous upon the wicked and get more revenge on behalf of people who cannot get it for themselves, as God intended>Heads back to Africa to rescue a girl. Busts up a huge death cult in doing so.>Stays in Africa for more adventure/revenge. >Heads inland, befriending tribes, avenging murders, hanging out with mystic friend, and generally visiting puritan fury upon assorted unnatural beings and men of low moral character>Goes completely insane because he could not protect a tribe he has befriended from ghastly night horrors>Comes to his senses. Gets revenge.>Goes even deeper into Africa looking for even more wicked things to strike from the face of the earth.>All through this, remain pure of heart, sincere, and faithful.>Eventually returns to his hometown in England, has a drink, tells the people about the wild shit he's seen, then leaves almost immediately for more adventure>Unheard of further adventures implied. 'Solomon Kane went forth again and no man knew his road.'There are zero video games made about this character.
>>741936268What constitutes an actual Conan game to you, anon?
>>741938478Being able to crush your enemies, see them driven before you and hearing the lamentations of the women.
>>741936767Conan isn't in the same time period as Primal. For example, no dinosaurs. It may be similar in most other ways, though, but more Genndykino is always a good thing.
I liked the atmosphere of the barbarian starting level from Severance: Blade of Darkness.
>>741940128>no dinosaursexcept in Red Nails
>>741936891>puritan befriending and caring about heathensYeah, unrealistic wokeslop
>>741936268It's not an officially licensed Conan title, but I saw this announced not too long ago and it seems to be going for Conan vibes.
>>741936268>>741942594Whoops, forgot my image like a retard.
>>741936268Anything but the shilled Conan Exiles. Crafting just sucks, and the combat is primitive trash. Also imagine how Conan would feel after he realizes that the person he released became a slaver. I doubt Conan cares about slavers much.
>>741936767No but he did make Korgoth which was like a Conan parody. It gets kinda old fast but a proper Conan story would work well if he took it seriously like Primal/Samurai Jack.
>>741936268>posts the worst art style conan.we will never get it cuz zoomies are brainrotten, gen alpha is dead on arrival due to AI, gen Beta will be fucked in the ass and won't know how to read at 75% of the population. You need either boomers or millennials to make a Conan game and especially if those guys look like they belong to a heavy metal band from the 80; or the team behind Hatred. No inbetween here, no modern slop will be able to accomplish actual progression and character driven story of Conan: From a thief to a pirate to an adventurer, hero and conqueror.... King Conan of Aquilonia. Basically:> First part of campaign should be his survival in the wilderness and scavenging ruins, then become hired by pirates in mid campaign and he goes raiding, suddenly he gathers enough loyal men to start raiding villages, cities and then becomes a king through conquest in late campaign.
>>741936767No because you see since this time he’s adapting something so he doesn’t have to fuck up yet another ending again and retcon it through either a spin off or making another season that was clearly not intended
It's almost perfect as a Conan game if you pick barbarian
Hopefully never because anyone who tries to adapt Conan doesn't get the point. They see the word "Barbarian" and assume some raging retard when Conan is very intelligent and more often than not defeats his enemies through cunning and smart plans rather than brute force.I don't think anyone can really capture the Sword n Sorcery feel anymore, especially in video games. Brutal Legend was sort of okayish but it was more of a tribute than actual thing because ton of metal and power metal bands had sword n sorcery aesthetics.
>>741936767I would argue that Conan has a significantly different personality to Spear. For one, Spear is some kind of Neanderthal while Conan is a normal human who is just a barbarian who grew up in the untamed land of Cimmeria and wandered down into the civilized parts of the world basically because he was bored. Conan likes to wear armor if he can possibly help it. He's usually not wearing armor during the "thief" phase of his life because he's poor as fuck and also he's trying to be quiet so he can steal shit. Conan loves food, wine and wenches, and so most of his stories are actually in some kind of civilized setting rather than Conan doing shit in the wilderness. Also, Conan is very forward with women, sleeps with multiple women and doesn't really have much in the way of long-term monogamous relationships, and the women he goes for tend to be buxom beauties instead of the much more androgynous Mira from Primal. Conan ultimately sticks with the civilized world as well, rising up the ranks of society to become a mercenary and then a king of his own kingdom, instead of just being a caveman. Also, Conan's enemies tend to be sorcerers and priests more often than not, which don't make much of an appearance in Primal.I would say that Conan is unironically more like Korgoth than Spear.
>>741944464DnD ruined the term barbarian. Howard's Conan was really a man who was in touch with his primal instincts and lived on the road. I agree Brutal Legend was great, shame we never got a sequel
>>741945174D&D didn't ruin barbarian the term was already ruined by assumptions by Robert E. Howard hacks and comic books which portrayed "retarded brawler = barbarian" rather than a savage warrior with balls of steel vietnam hero mind set who will take what they want if it means more skulls under their belt to make a living that's what it means to be alive.
>>741936767>some exec at Conan inc. after watching Primal: HIRE THIS MAN
i tried reading conan but couldn't get into it.
lolnever look up how Conan's author died
