Has it been long enough, am I allowed to say that I find the story twist with the whispers interesting and actually like where they are taking the story?I'm replaying Remake now and notice a lot of foreshadowing for things that happen in Rebirth and are yet to happen in Revelation. It's clear that they do have an arcing plan with the lifestream, whispers and such.One thing I'm curious about it Cloud's big reveal given that he's already acknowledged Zack and Tifa already had that scene in Rebirth. It's looking like the twist is going to be something completely unexpected and that's exciting.

Objectively, it is more interesting that there is room for change. If it were a 1:1 "perfect" remake, the trilogy format wouldn't work. Call it corporate greed or whatever but if we are left with 3 great games with a strong ending that justifies the narrative mix up, I think the discourse might be very different once it's all over

So, I'm currently playing FF8 (played it when I was like 9, so this is like a nostalgia run), but I also purchased remake because I want to try it out (never played it)Is FF7 getting cucked with all the games? >>741946886I’d suggest you play the OG first. The remake trilogy is actually a sequel disguised as a remake. A sneakquel. It counts on you knowing the events and characters of the OG so it can subvert them. The final part comes out in a year so you have planet of time to catch up.

You can guess some stuff. I guess Sephiroth needed the party to defeat the harbinger to 1. control the whispers himself and 2. this allows the "dream worlds" to exist, but the reason why hasnt been explained just yet. So that's what im looking forward to, IF they do anything at all.
