You can still buy a pre-icked Steam Deck for 300-400 bucks and it'll play nearly the entire history of vidya for a few bucks max.

I actually do plug my Steam Deck into my TV for emulators and old games that I don't play on my main peecee. A Gabecube that costed 500-600 bucks would have been a day one buy, but 1000 bucks could upgrade my machine.
