Excuse you. Jaheira and Minthara are cool. From the origin ones... I like Astarion and that's about it.
Libtards are the most unlikeable, unpleasant people imaginable irl, so it makes sense the characters they make up are too. Most westoid devs literally believe that having likeable companions is “wish fulfilment” and that they want “realistic” characters, which means just the most insufferable faggots imaginable.

When you complain about how shitty the companions are people will respond with stuff like "umm you're not supposed to like them at first!!! they've gone through traumatic experiences and don't trust you yet, they're supposed to grow on you as you get to know them!!!" as if that's an excuse. If you're character is annoying and unpleasant to listen to then I don't want to get to know them.

I have never been so immediately repulsed by an RPG companion like I was by Karlach. The moment she says "Fuck yes" I could already see just how much of an insufferable quirk changes character she was going to be. Oh, and everyone in camp immediately clamoring over how great she us. Lae'zel ended up being the only companion I liked.

Laezel is legitimately a great companion, up there with the best IMO.The rest are mostly good, Wyll and Halsin are shit. Halsin was fine until after act2, he should have left then like they originally planned.
