I don't think so. If you're coming from the original trilogy it's a net negative to experience something so soulless as Andromeda. It's not a Mass Effect game.

With the increased vertical focus on the game, being able to charge around is cool.The story is not very good and most of the companions suck. It really feels like phoned in Mass Effect.

for $3 its fine, its just annoying, because as people above have said, you can see the start of a good game, with the fully customizable skill tree and the movement in the game, the combat is very funit borders on having slightly too much open world stuff, but its not like AC valhalla or ff7 rebirth levels of fillerthe problem is the story is bad overall but even worse is ALL the companions are terrible, with some just being almost seeming to be intentionally annoying, and all the romance options are bad. the best "companion" is the nurse who you cant romance or take with you\the graphics held up pretty well for everything but the character models, they just look off in the face>tldrignore the story/companions and the gameplay is good
