I think just about every inspect and character dialog up until Chapter 5 has potential importance which is why I still read everything on subsequent replays. The more I think about it the more I feel like all the conversations and cutscenes with the Flowers outside of Flowery can just be fast-forwarded through without much consequence. Whew, this is turning out to be a lot more work than I had initially thought. I upgraded from schizo collage to a schizographic, as there was no way I was going to fit all of this into one post. the more i think about chapter 5 the more disappointed i amthis chapter genuinely had the potential to easily be the best chapter in the entire game, but some of the most important factors for your enjoyment of the chapter were fumbled in such a spectacularly retarded way that it's genuinely saddening>the light world segment was dogshit and underwhelming, so much build-up for the festival and it felt like a nothingburger>2 of the main characters, ralsei and susie, had their arcs and characterization in the chapter utterly fumbled, ralsei's jealously and pettiness felt way too sudden so it's just jarring and at times it feels completely OoC even with the most liberal interpretation, and susie feels like she's just going through the motions in the DW doing nothing and any moment she has is just her thinking about noelle or reacting to what's happening in a boring way, plus it feels like she starts to become MORE of a bully even though she is supposed to be OVER that>asgore's arc was extremely rushed, the idea is there and good but it was not given nearly enough screentime to justify it, and it was closed in a very anticlimatic and sudden way>the secret boss is a COMPLETE fumble, all it has going for it is a shitty soul-kris parallel that is so obvious to anyone that it's almost insulting, the theme is lame, its OST is lame, the fight is unfun and boring and the boss is not just not plot-relevant but literally and i mean LITERALLY a complete outsider to the entire DWthere's also other minor things, like the mid OST, the fact that blue exists, the weird pettiness toby seems to have built up and the unnecessary japan wank, but that's minor in comparison with the formerall that ruins the chapter that has the undisputed BEST main boss and overall dark world cast, which also have an excellent motivation besides "muh knight" and are their own people fending off for themselves in this world of prophecy cucks, and the best character arcs (in paper, not practice)
