You should play Omori sometime, it doesn't take great advantage of it, but the emotion system being a combined Status/Element wheel is great, and has plenty of supplimentary mechanics to both bolster the feel of your party's teamwork while also playing into the emotion system.Toby's design sense for RPGs is obviously restrictive because he wants to make sure the moments he wrote land with the most success possible, but it suffers for it by only utilising the Role Playing part of RPGs and riding its difficulty on being a bullet hell-lite with movement gimmicks. I don't necessarily hate it, but seeing a potentially deep system go to waste makes me just a little sad.

So I finished about 1/3rd of my schizographic and lost interest. Here's a mini/part-theory to ponder. What if the chapter 5 weird route is actually an alternate path or sequence break? We don't know how large the shelter is, but presumably it would have to fit the entire Hometown population, and that's assuming it hasn't been modified for nefarious purposes. It could extend under the lake itself. In that case, Kris and Noelle's PROCEEDing would bring them down underwater where light can't quite reach (it was pretty late in the day) and the combined power of their Human+Monster souls lets them enter the shelter dark world at the very deepest part of it.
