It seems like a good idea on paper to have a power you can set to your health bar to trigger when it's at a certain threshold, but all it ends up doing is making the middle version practically worthless because you could be combo'd out of it if your health stops right before it triggers, it's not as strong as near death SPG, nor as beneficial as round start SPG. Then you you have round start SPG, and once you lose it, that's it. What? That seems like really lazy design. If Drive functioned the same way, I don't think SF6 would be played as much. Not to mention, like many have said, it's a more glorified, personalized version of Drive Impact; it feels like a blatant, cheap knock off. The feint cancels add a lot of work to combos that can make getting good at the game really exhausting on the hands. Even in Garou they weren't amazing; but Garou had such larger damage/less health that matches ended fast that it didn't quite matter for combo routes for certain characters. The damage in City feels streamlined for the worse, characters generally do the same amount of damage on average. The Rev meter is also, again, not thought out and feels like a rip off of Drive. Use too much EX? You're in burn out. Only difference is you don't become objectively worse and take more hitstun because of it, you just lose acess to Rev Meter things. And for the game that keeps advertising itself as "rev it up", the Rev Meter ACTIVELY goes against you doing that as you suffer consequences for going overboard, and even going too high you're basically forced to wait until it's cooled down. I think people subconsciously picked up on that and found it as misleading/lame. City just feels like a halfassed game. Sure it looks okay, but it's nothing to write home about. At least Garou was more expressive and explosive... what does City have going for it?

Let's be real here. COTW shits on Capcom's graphics in the last 3 games. SF4 graphics are ugly. Everyone agreed with this. Don't even think about changing the timeline. Then they struggled early on with SFV's graphics. Only the mid to late DLC characters looked decent. And last I check you all hate SF6's graphics. And let's not even start with other stuff like Mortal Kombat's graphics and animations. French Bread's 2D artstyle is very dull and doesn't standout because all the fights happened in the dark with nothing is happening. Not even a plane flyover can be seen. There's nothing visually pleasing about their artstyle. Fighting Climax is probably their best looking game if I had to name one. What about Nen Impact. Tekken mastered the style that Capcom is trying to land. So If COTW only looks worse than Arc System Work's gawd graphics then what the fuck are you complaining about? On a tier list it's mid - high tier.
