>>742299370It's fixed some of the most egregious problems but all that's really done is reveal to which the game is both very content sparse and axiomatically flawed. The corespawn are deliberately a pain in the dick to fight in DRG because they were a late addition going against people will fully-leveled equipment, overclocks, the whole nine yards. Now, you've got scores of guns that were balanced around fighting glyphids but you're still mostly against the jumpy bastards with small crit zones, the pace of play is completely different rendering tools like the platform gun and ziplines fairly anemic, and on higher difficulties/more complex caves you typically get to chose between abandoning all the upgrades on the floor because they're in a tunnel past the elevator you don't have time to traverse twice or fighting for the elevator while invincible worms rip your dick in half. It could've been a cool idea in 2023 when DRG was less stale and FPS roguelikes weren't a dime a dozen, but it has nothing to show for how long it spent in development.
