I hate it because it's scripted.If it were something like this: you decided to use the rocket launcher and blew up the enemies in a corner, but now everything’s gone offline, and the scientist will need time to get the door working, then that's okay, because it's a direct consequence of the gameplay, and the game is adapting to the changes caused by the player and the systems he's interacting with.But which games work like that? Practically none.

Fuck I have one of these segments in my game I’m working on. It’s supposed to be fun though because shooting stuff is fun :( you can skip it with sone clever key item usage and get a fun cutscene but I don’t think most ppl will know to do that
