Instead of paying $100+ for a xbox/sony/steam controller, why don't you get a chinkshit one that is similar in quality for half the price?
why is this board allergic to the word Chinese
>>742420551Why are you trying to make preddit tourists' lives easier?
>>742420551I love the pro 3 controller but PSA! ATTENTION CONSUMER: 8Bitdo did a silent revision to the Pro 3 that quiets the buttons. Recently produced units have very quiet buttons, while the original run has loud, clacky buttons. There is no reliable way to tell which one you will get, though I think if you order through their official website you're more likely to get the quiet version. Otherwise wait for the Amazon inventory to churn for a while.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.
>>742420551No trackpads.Only 2 back buttons.No capacitive sticks.Fuck no.
>>742420602We havent really developed mentally here so if I dont show I hate minorities and say something is gay, someone might call me a tranny and that really cuts deep
>>742420551I got so much chinktronics, and it's growing, I need a tool belt for my cyberdeck.
paid 35 for dualsense. so i don't know why i would pay 50 for random chinkshit that has less features and looks ugly
>>742420551I don't recommend this one specifically because it gave me incredibly bad hand cramps every time I used it. The face is completely flat despite the fact you hold it at an angle and it is uncomfortable on your fingers.
Pro 2 is what I use for my Switch 2. It ain't bad, and I'm sure as hell glad I didn't shell out for Nintendo's dogshit controller.
>>742420551Stop shilling dogshit 8bitdoOnly Gamesir G7 pro 8K and Flydigi Vader 5 pro are the best controllers out at the moment. Objective facts through verified testing.
>>742421341verified by whom?
>>742421392https://gamepadla.com/?f=verification%3Averified
>>742420551because I like video games and am willing to spend $100 on the steam controller to make that experience better. i use my pc connected to my tv all the time so having the trackpads has been a game changer
>>742422182Why use a trackpad when you can use your mouse
>>742420551I paid $50 for a dualsense. It's great. Hated the DS4. Also got thr nrw Retro Fighters controller. Reminscent of a DS3. Love it too.
>>742422607See>>742422182>i use my pc connected to my tv all the time
>>742420551what even is the Hall effect?
>>742421046>No capacitive sticks.why would you want that?
>>742422607because i would have to move my mouse from my desk to the table in front of the tv and the wireless receiver is on my pc vs the steam controller puck which is by the tv console. i have a long ass hdmi cable wired under the carpet to the living room from my office. i was using a dualsense but the bluetooth was awful trying to get it to reach the pc and i had to use an eventghost script to swap to "tv mode" when i turned it on. now i just have a hotkey on the steam controller that swaps displays and audio
>>742420551I’m a patriot and only purchase Palantir approved monitoring devices. Chink shit might not even spy on me and that would make me lonely.
>>742421020Oh really? I liked the loud buttons. They sound like old SNK arcade boards.
>>742421020It's true. I recently got one from Amazon and it's quieter than my Pro 2 and Ultimate. I noticed it going on sale on woot a lot recently so I imagine that's them dumping off pre revision stock cheap.
>>742420551Chinkshit controllers don't have dual trackpads that are configurable to the same degree and ease as the steam controller. Any gamepad styled controller without this is functionally useless.
>>742420551the shape of these isn't good for my hands
>>742420551The 8bitdo pro3 is fine and good but I got a steam controller and for PC its way better.
>>742420551I got a Pro 2 for like 32 bucks, face buttons are indeed loud and triggers are too soft for my taste, but otherwise it's a very solid contoller, call me a shill I don't care
>>742423307It is suggesting the sensor that detects the analog stick movement is magnetic based, and not potentiometer based. Which is possible. Hall effect sensor is dirt cheap. Sony and nintendo just treat you like dogs and give you whatever dogshit component they can find. China see this and want to undercut them.
>>742424340Why would it be "way" better
>>742425218Hall effect and TMR joysticks by K-silver and other brands which majority use are like $25+ and the prices are going up with each version.these are precision joysticks now, so you pay more for QC and construction
>>742421130>Chinese>minority
>>742423319They're great for toggling gyro.
>>742420551I use this for my switch 2 and PC, the TMR sticks are reason enough to buy it
>>742420551>try to shit on eight bit doo>4chan thinks its spamlol shill site for an awful build quality, I got one and the stick rubber peeled off without even suing it, just by sheer summer heat in a drawer, what a garbage purchase, meanwhile the brand everyone makes fun is perfect, funnily enough,if you like symmetric analogs get the tengenaria lite
>>742429710Never had that issue with mine
>>742420551"similar" like salisbury steak is similar to steak.
This is the absolute best $20 controller you can buy.
>>742421046>Only 2 back buttons.All you need.
Because there's 8 billion brands that all look identical and I'm not sure what ones are low grade chinesium or high gradeThe reviews don't help because they all have a billion 5 stars clearly written by bots and one million one stars written by people to stupid to open the packageNo other ratings exist
I have never used trackpads, gyros, or back buttons. Useless zoomer shit
>>742432530https://gamepadla.com/?f=verification%3Averifieduse that site
>>742432740You're not supposed to be genuinely helpful on /v/ what the fuck? Thanks man
>>742432530You can break it down into 3 categories:>gamesir, flydigi and 8bitdo are the largest companies with the most presence in retail stores>leadjoy, gulikit, easysmx, zd, beitong, mohjon (formerly bigbig won) and machenike are smaller brands that you might have problems finding locally>everything else is pretty much random no name bullshitWhile you can get a good peripheral from any of them I would recommend sticking to the first three listed and buying from a well established store that will actually honor the warranty in case you get a lemon. Things have been improving for these chinkpads but quality control is still their achilles' heel.
>>742431631I got one of these for 12 bucks it's so fucking good
>8shitdoFuck no, I'm never making the mistake of buying this garbage again. The worst dpads I had the displeasure of using yet, and the bumpers were pretty bad too. Then I used Vader and it was a bit better but it wanted me to install some kind of crappy 'software' that wouldn't run without their 'service' and had walls of text declaring how my ass belongs to Tencent and Glorious china. At this point the best thing to do is just buy Razer.
>>742433193That's only showing you latency between wired, dongle and bluetooth, you need to just do the research for build quality and defects yourself, there is a few controller review channels that do full reviews, there still might be comments on gamepadla about build quality though. This Japanese guy fully reviews and precision tests his controllershttps://www.youtube.com/@%E3%83%A2%E3%83%8E%E3%82%8B/videosThe new controllers are never ending because now its only a small few that are copying or improving their shit keeping themselves in the top 10and be cautious of controller board upgrades, these can get you banned because it can be used for cheats.
>>742432530Easiest way is just searching youtube for reviews. Look for in-depth ones that check the analogs and d-pad on gamepad-tester instead of just playing a game and saying it feels good, preferably also with a teardown of the controllers so you can look for red flags like plastic pivots on the shoulder buttons.
>>742432340No thanks. I use all 4 all the time. Not going to settle for less.
>>742433769Just click the gamepad you want to see and usually you get a lot more stats depending on how popular it is and how many tests people have run.But yeah, finding good reviewers helps a lot too.
i don't know maybe because i'ts 40 bucks and not 100
>>742420551Something about gyroscopes, because apparently waggleshit is good now
>>742432635>I am retardedCool. Thanks for sharing.
>>742434273If gyro aiming is waggleshit then so is mouse aiming.
>>742433685You need that software for firmware updates, people who say don't use it are retarded many of these controllers do have bugged firmware day 1 of release and don't function correctly.I just know there is morons still using their gamesir or flydigi controllers with broken joysticks thinking that's the way the TMR/hall effects are meant to be LMAO
>>742420551the pro 2 only has two rumble motors when current games use 4 and those 2 motors are not as strong as old controllers, meaning they are still not adecuate for retro emulation. The handles are not ergonomic either since they are not as opened as a playstation controller.
Everyone makes fun of Gamesirs because of the name but they've been the best quality third party controllers I've tried so far. My Flydigi Vader 4 Pro's shoulder buttons couldn't take enough presses and broke down. 8bitdo controllers are actual dogshit that stop working after a few months. PowerA and Hori are both just very low quality.
I only use Gamesir
>>742435016For now, Flydigi hasn't released their competitor version and 8bitdo is releasing the ultimate 3 which basically has all the latest features + swappable modules.Everyone right now is playing catch up
>gamesaar
I fucking love my Pro 3. I used the magnet to change the buttons to SFC buttons, but with the modern Xbox color layout, so it's like a fusion of generations. Only thing I don't like is no gyro.
>>742438129pro 3 has gyro, but over bluetooth (dinput mode) only. That's also how you get Steam Input compatibility.
>>742438129>>742438349also works wired with the switch in dinput mode
