How is your factory doing?I just reached Vulcanus and the Foundries and turbo belts are awesome
I only beat the base game once(launched a rocket) is the space expansion really worth the same as the base game?
>>742422485Yes
Reconstructing my Fulgora setup to meet Aquilo’s new design and eventually to scale up to quality production for a new mech suit
I literally, physically can't play this game anymore ever since I got a job.
I'm still on 1.1.11 (for the mods).
>>742421371I went back to playing bob/angels mods.
Ive "solved" aquilo. I set up a basic transport from gleba for biter nest shit on nauvis. I seemingly just need to wait for science and begin building my ultimate space platform. But I stopped playong a year ago and now ill have to start over because I wont remember how i set my shit up lmfao.
>>742422590damn thats a big island
>>742423261I can
>>742422590>Giant landmass on fulgoraWhy can't I be this lucky.
>>742423809Just explore bro
>>742423847I'm not a rootless locust. Where I land is where I settle.
>>742422485>is the space expansion really worth the same as the base game?I think so.The planets each have their own restrictions and challenges that makes you rethink the standard Factorio gameplay loopVulcanus gives you near infinite production but no raw materialsGleba makes you abandon the idea of product buffering - use it or lose itFulgora gives you tons of random high level materials that need sorting and organization, and makes you choose what to break down furtherAquilo kills all your standard blueprints since nearly everything needs a heat pipe to stop from freezing
>>742421371I just got Aquillo up and running. Apparently I've played for 60 hours since the 2.1 patch last week, lol.
>>742423664>I stopped playong a year ago and now ill have to start overVersion 2.1, their last major update, is in experimental release right now and is very playableStable release is scheduled for release sometime at the end of SummerThat's the perfect time to restart it for one final save file.
>>742423713>>742423809It was miles away but i basedfaced when i found it
>>742424078That's cool, I respect that. You have principles. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.Enjoy your 2x2m Fulgora island.
>>742421371this save is like 500 hours. been fucking around with quality on fulgora for dozens of hours once I unlocked good foundations from aquillo. that and making a fleet of every so slightly different spess ships
>>742424260The only thing stopping me from playing 2.1 is that I want to do a single-map 100% achievement run with itBut it seems like they're stealthily adding in some new ones, and I want to make sure there are no new ones that I might miss because of time or resource restrictions
Factorio is actually all diamonds with small gaps of dirt.
>>742422485Its fun for a play through. It leaves you wanting and quite a bit and all the new stuff is extremely overpowered, so I really don't recommend making my mistake and making a large base on navius to start, rush to the new planets because everything you've done on navius until that point will be extremely obsolete.
have you ever seen such a beautiful coal patch?
>>742425983Yes
>>742421371>pic>1500 hours digging by handyou're supposed to use drills
i LOVE that factorio filters midwits and keeps its community free of trannies and DEI discussion
>>742424260Fusion power online. This is the part of the game where all the cool stuff is unlocked and you can really start to go crazy with megabases
>>742421371>How is your factory doing?Still waiting for a friend to be available to start playing.
>>742422485This but I also disabled enemies. Will probably try a real run soon.
>>742425008>Factorio is actually all diamonds with small gaps of dirt.Until you realize the dirt is actually just really fine-grained diamond as well.
>>742430780>free of trannies and DEI discussionIt literally has community-made mods that communicate with remote controlled buttplug sex toys.https://mods.factorio.com/mod/cubutt
>>742434095holy based
>experimental buildthanks for beta-testing
post your gleb
>>742428794The guy is playing pY
>>742436475Wow that actually looks like it's a real Gleba baseRare to see someone who belts properly and doesn't just use logistic chests like a dumb retard.... Right? Anon?
>>742436475
>>742434095>Linux-onlyStill not beating the allegations
I'm still on 2.0I stopped playing when I left the planet.
>>742431507>you can really start to go crazy with megabasesI always just take a break from the game and start a new run/overhaul pack instead. Having the final science be some stupid infinite #go up was a huge disappointment for me.
>>742421371I always play without enemies. shame me, I dont care, still have a blast
>>742437620You have to purposefully cripple yourself to make enemies 'hard' so there's no real point in playing with them after you've done it plenty of times. Especially if you'd rather have more UPS. In order to get actually challenging enemies you need mods.
What is the endgame goal for the expansion?Base game makes sense, make rocket to escape. But why go to other planets, what is the objective?
>>742437791to leave for real
>>742437791You fly towards a blown up planet and then the game ends when you get like 1% of the way there.
>>742436475main bus gleba. dont @ me
>>742424262That does sound like the perfect time to play again. Some people really dont like the fiest phase before you get construction bots, but I dont mind it. I like to try new things with how I set up my initial mall and science.
What did they change/add for 2.1?
I had a fight with my autistic friend whom i played the game with because i kept building spaghetti conveyors but he wanted a huuuuge main bus.So i sprawled off a little machinery off the main bus and he lost his shit
>>742421371I beat Space Age a week before this update. I might load my save to check out the new features/planets in orbit and that's it.
>>742438189lots of circuit qol
I need to grab my save and screenshot my gleba base. All of you seem to have a direction to your factory instead of embracing the product loop/waste disposal dichotomy as your primary method of keeping production lines moving.
Actually been playing Nullius so I don't really want to update. Just finished a bot mall and I'm on green science (it's like the 5th pack in Nullius), not really sure where to go from here but I'm considering setting up trains and a bigger smelting area with the new smelting recipes.
I dont see the point in playing through the game twice, you dont really gain anything by being efficient
>>742438189>ChangeA bunch of nerfs. >addlol
>>742438939>NulliusWatched Dosh play it and it is so ass. Every next building requiring 17 random items isn't fun at all. I guess it is a way so solve main buses (kinda) and city blocks, but was it worth it?
maybe im just not good at this game
>>742441379Just glancing at it I can tell you have neither the demand or supply necessary to make this work. Otherwise you'd have 10x as many belts going out.
>>742437363oh right - I remember this having been a problem with the initial Space Age versions, where they accidentally generated cliffs in the Vulcanus landing zone, locking you in.Did they honestly re-break that with 2.1 changes? 'cuz NGL, that would be fucking hilarious...
>>742441872disregard that I suck cocks it's a casino
>>742441872space age's stacked turbo belts are 240 p/sec, anon.
>>742442297you can easily fill one with cogs with a single turbo boosted foundry
