If I liked the modern Hitman games, would I like the originals?Since I can get all 5 for like $5 at the moment.
>>742433151pirate themioi are known scammers
>>742433232I know, and I still haven't bought Hitman 3 on principal, but $1 per game is a convenience fee I'll pay.
do i miss anything major out of hitman 1&2 if i go straight into contracts?
Personally, as someone with thousands of hours across the woa trilogy, the older games are abysmal dogshit that I wouldn't play even if someone paid me to, even blood money.
>>742433151The first one is not good and I will die on that hill. All of them for $5 isn't a bad deal though.
>>7424340351 no since contracts is pretty much remakes of the first game's missions to make them not suck (though I prefer the original's hotel mission tbqh). 2 yea you miss out on a 9/10 game and the best soundtrack in the entire series.
>>742433151The first one is very janky and not very goodThe second is similar to normal hitman games, but still very janky and stupid hardThe third existBlood money is actually good, just a very hard difficulty curve, and if you dont know what youre doing, then it will be confusingAbsolution is "what if we made a call of duty campaign out of hitman". Not good, but contracts is somewhat fun
>>742434035Hitman 1 explains 47's backstory and revenge against his creatorHitman 2 follows directly from 1 where 47 tries to live a life of peace but is forced back into his profession Hitman Contracts is a sort of remake of 1 featuring many but not all of the same levels and leaves out a lot of 47's backstory. Also it's nightime and raining in every level of the gameI think you can skip them if you're not interested in the story of 47's life, most of hitman is focused on individual levels and the story is just there as noise
>If I liked the goyslop Hitman games, would I like the originals?probably not
>>742434813>The best one is very janky and not very goodliteraly kys, human trash
>>742434813Only think janky about the second game is the pathfinding of the ninjas in the tunnel leading to them getting run over. The game being punishing with the way you choose to move is not jank, it's just you being a shitter.
>>742435007>Only think janky about the second game is the pathfinding>you can lose SA because youre enemies kill each other, while there is nothing you can do>Some levels are actually luck based in order to get SA, because enemie spawns>Enemies can see though disguise the millisecond they see you>The entire games requires to slide in order to move and/or get SA>If the AI is paniced, they can see crimes or deadbodiesAnd thats just what i could remember off the top of my head
>>742433151>>742433340while I think you're a retard for giving money to a scam company something nobody is pointing out so far is that each of the Hitman games generally player differnetly from one another. The core concept of stealth, KOing and disguises re there but each one plays a bit differentCan't comment on 1. 2 is weird - it has enforcers to a point, ie all guards are suspicious but some are far faster than others at spotting you but you can't really what ones are enforces outside of trial and error along with each enforcer being different3 is the balance of 2 and 44 introduced the idea of guards just mostly escorting you back to a 'legal' area (ie you are tresspassing), some places will get you shot on sight (ie Hostile area) but you can't tell without trial and error and some common sense4 also introduced ranged distractions and was the first game to really try to give a clear 'this is the path for sillent assassin'. 2 and 3 were mostly 'save and hope for the best' I won't comment much on 5 - it gave us instinct instead of the map to see eve ry npc and really started the whole 'there are definitely multiple ways to kill targets' but it has t he most levels without targertsI'd watchj thishttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=in0rXvtjfrMJust to get an idea of the basic gameplayPretty much 2-4 play like this5 is a bit more like WoA
>>742435404>you can lose SA because youre enemies kill each other, while there is nothing you can doYes, the one truck glitch in that one mission. Just imagine you didn't get that alert and tell yourself you got SA anyway the game doesn't even have cheevos for your stupid ass to get autistic over.>Some levels are actually luck based in order to get SA, because enemie spawnsDSP levels of delusion.>Enemies can see though disguise the millisecond they see youStrength of disguises depends entirely on what the disguise is, who is watching you, how close you are to them and how suspicious your behaviour is. They work. You're just a retard who doesn't understand how to use them. >The entire games requires to slide in order to move and/or get SAGame is entirely manageable without the retarded exploit you learned off some youtube videos while searching for solutions to missions because you're too fucking stupid to figure them out yourself.>If the AI is paniced, they can see crimes or deadbodiesDumbfuck favela monkey gibberish
>>742433151>If I liked the modern Hitman games, would I like the originals?Blood Money and Contracts are guaranteed hits for you. 2 is way more jank and half of its missions are garbage, but its highs are really high. 1 is an experimental game that has no reason to be played beyond its historical relevance. Absolution is a linear action stealth grindhouse setpiece that has 47 and the ICA in it purely because IoI couldn't be arsed to make new characters, its Hitman in name only.
>>742436076>but you can't really what ones are enforces outside of trial and errorJust keep maximum distance from everyone and use the suspicion meter to gauge how close you can get. It's really simple.
>>742436076sounds like u need 2 gitgud
>>742436417the problem is once you get indoorssome enforcers freak out over running and others over walking
one of the things i prefer about blood money compared to the woa trilogy is the scale of missions not being artificially bloated by the 5 episode release model. with 12 full missions not including the tutorial/epilogue you have more variety and missions can be concise where it makes sense. the shit like needing to have an entire corporate hq attached to a formula one event in woa was never appealing to me.
>>742436569Nobody freaks out over walking. Again, if you turn your goddamn brain on and realise disguises are not magic cloaks that turn you invisible but rather something that may trick an observer from a distance so long as you keep a low profile and don't linger within eyesight too long, the system is very intuitive. It's still a stealth game. You can see around corners. If you see a guard passing and you know you can't cross an area without getting too close, observe the patrol route and pass when you can. I beat the damn game as an 11 year old kid on SA decades ago. I beat it on SA again a few years ago, both times without guides. It's not that fucking complicated.
>>742437062great opinion
>>742436260Holy hell, ive never seen someone so blinded by nostalgia>the one truck glitch in that one missionThats not even the only one. See misson "The Motorcade Interception">because enemie spawnsSee Hidden Valley>depends entirely on what the disguiseNot even, like have you even played the game. Like ???>Game is entirely manageable without the retarded exploitLike no? There are literal level where you cant get SA (in a timely manner) if you dont actually do this>AI cant see crimes if panicDidnt even have a response to that one. Actual sub 80 IQ tier of being wrong
>>742436353>1 is an experimental game that has no reason to be played beyond its historical relevanceIt's decent, only scrubs and kids think otherwise. But it is retarded regarding what it wants to be, some missions are classic Hitman stealth stuff while others are guns-out parties or hybrid like the Rotherdam boat. Certainly more enjoyable in replays than 2:SA due to how tough that fucker is.
>>742434035The Jesper Kyd soundtrack
>>742434035hitman story is pretty dumb/pointless, you miss out on murder.
>>742437402Kyd did all 4 games, the best one depends on your tastes but Contracts is top-tier, 2 is great if you prefer orchestral and string-based stuff>>742437501>hitman story is pretty dumb/pointlessAnd funnily enough way better than the nuHitman trash, except for Blood Money which is a bit dumb trying to justify the USA setting
>>742437318not him but you just seem bad. why do you even care about sa, it literally doesn't matter pre blood
OP here I bought them
>>742437652World of Assassination is just a Bond story but its 47 instead of 007 so you lack social connections and have no sex.
>>742437786nta but contracts requjires SA for the weapons unlock iirc>>742437834I fucking hope you watched the youtube video I posted so you know what it plays likes
>>742437851he's just like me for real
io needs to go bankrupt sooner rather than later let a proper publisher like ubisoft take over hitman and we can have a true open world game with live service like contracts that are spawned in your game and the world revolves around how you performed
>>742437884i mean kind of oxymoronic if so aint it?
>>742437318>Like no? There are literal level where you cant get SA (in a timely manner) if you dont actually do thishttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvyoxhszvv8Kill yourself, you fucking idiot.
>>742438206the first level just showed the slidenot that anon but KEK
>>742434035After having to quit 1, I skipped to 3-4 to see if the games were playable by then, and after those were done I decided to check out 2. It was worth it, you should give it a chance. Not really because of the story (it's interesting, but I don't think it has any bearing in the sequels), but because of the gameplay.
>>742438586For not being that anon you sure have a propensity to type like a retard and make shit up just like him. Learn proper punctuation and grammar if you want to samefag.
Are there any nude mods? Not for 47, but for the women you kill
>>742438710>no rebuttal, just ad hominem :)
>>742437851>World of Assassination is just a Bond story but its 47So make it Not-Bond then, pretty shitty use of the IP, would rather have a kart racing game or a platformer than those canonraping games
>>742437884>nta but contracts requjires SA for the weapons unlock iircIIRC you had to steal the guns in the missions to unlock them, same in 2. You literally had to go guns out or be extremely sneaky to unlock guns. For example i vividly remember the silenced .50 cal sniper in Contracts that i never unlocked without looking it up, it's only in the last level and it's a guy hidden in a roof that you have to blast the shit out of him for the gun to fall off to street-level among other specops units and civilians.
>>74244111012 of them need the SA in contracts
>>742441768I don't remember that but i believe it so i get take it back.Blood Money is a shitter because you cannot upgrade everything unless you glitch the game to get extra money.
>Since I can get all 5 for like $5 at the moment.It's $3.60 on steam so i don't know who's scamming you.
>>742442056Ausfag dollars
sure get them now before they get delisted and replaced by the remakes
