Space is a dumb argument. Games will take up space regardless of which format you use.

>Space is a dumb argument.
Because /v/ is retarded so that's why they use it
>>
Is there a better feeling than throwing away all those garbage jewel cases and condensing your collection into a binder?
>>
>>742436006
People talk about disc rot the same way a 9 year old talks about the sun exploding.
>>
>>742435983
looks like my old pc disk folder.

Wasn't the entire appeal of physical media back in the day the fact that you got a box or a case with something inside like a small book or trinkets? And that container itself you could store on a shelf or somewhere else near you.

Playstation has been fighting this since the 90s. they don't like people owning games especially if you can copy your property onto a CD
>>
>>742436379
The entire appeal? No that's just one of many reasons to prefer it.
>>
they're going to try and make owning physical copies illegal

disk rot is a myth if they're stored correctly

I've had tons of Playstation consoles die before the disk even thought about failing.

I hope you're right.
I have an entire box of old game cases that I haven't touched in +10 years. At some point I'm considering buying an external disk drive to see if they still work.
>>
>>742437043
I am right. there isn't a single disk I own that was treated properly that doesn't work. first of all don't leave them in the sun
>>
>>742436362

cd rot us because retards keep their cd cases in the sun in their cars back in the day.
>>
>>742437043
I have all of my discs from the 90's and I've never seen disc rot in any of them.
A friend of mine left a copy of some dvd in a humid spot for a while and when he went to watch it it had actually disc rotted and wouldn't work.
WHen I mean a humid place, I mean in a shed in Louisiana heat.

>the entire appeal of physical media back in the day
The appeal of it back in the day was that physical media was the only option
