Once in a while, its nice to talk about UTY, as well as some of the fangames it ended up inspiring. It makes me look back on game dev processes and wonder how much a devs ideas might change from when he starts making a game. Things that you might expect were going to be important early on that end up getting less focus in the final product. What do (you) think? Are you working on any games or fanworks of your own where something like this has come to mind?
>>742662621shabbat shalom, i'm a masonic jew and undertale fangames are my favorite games with mixtape and expedition 33
>>742662621My idea has changed quite a bit from when I first started with my game, it has mostly expanded, which is weird because I thought I would be cutting stuff left and right, sometimes when you start a project you realize you didn't have as many ideas as you though you did.
Honestly I have to wonder if there was any plan at all with Dalv beyond "vampire monster in a dark place!"
>>742663197that makes sense. it takes a lot of concepts and ideas to make something after all, though I imagine there's still gotta be a point where you come up with something and realize you have to cut it out.
>>742663274I've tought of this before too, apparently they had Ceroba planned since the days of the first demo, you would think they could come up with a better way for Dalv to connect with the rest of the plot
>>742663464to be fair, the Ceroba they had in mind back then was a very uniquely different person. I'm curious if they had a "strange" idea for dalv too and when they discarded beta roba they also discarded original dalvs arc or something.
>>742663443>though I imagine there's still gotta be a point where you come up with something and realize you have to cut it out.Maybe, but I haven't reached that point yet, I still need to fill up certain areas and come up with scenes so things don't end being too empty or flat, some of my major characters are barely developed as well, so that's another thing I still need to adress.
>>742663590>I'm curious if they had a "strange" idea for dalv too and when they discarded beta roba they also discarded original dalvs arc or something. They would have talked about it if they did, the only discarded idea they had for Dalv was him and Decibat originally being a single character, IMO they should have stayed that way, current Dalv barely changes the plot with his presence and most of your interactions with him feel shallow.
>>742663274I imagine he's a shoe-in for the struggles of the devs being social recluses. A bunch of the dark ruins seems related to nerd culture, like Penilla being a struggling artist and Crispy Scroll being a LARPer. It's believable a bunch of high school students starting on a fangame decided to write what they knew at the start.
>>742663797>only discarded idea they had for Dalv was him and Decibat originally being a single character,oh yeah I forgot about that. Yeah I guess I can see that, they would have talked about it somewhere most likely.>Dalv barely changes the plot with his presence and most of your interactions with him feel shallow.I still stand by that idea a while back to have him show up throughout the game.
I come bearing a meme from the future, after Oldentale has released.Fortunately, humor has progressed very little in the time leading up to its release, so this meme should be very understandable.
>>742664007hey its wiki! I love that gal.
>>742663945>I still stand by that idea a while back to have him show up throughout the game.I don't know if him showing up more would have helped that much, Toriel shows up once after the ruins and yet everyone remembers her, because the game keeps reminding you of her existance, and she has a very important connection to the game's central conflict.
>>742662621which fangame is the most nortubel tier?
>>742664171>and she has a very important connection to the game's central conflict.Dalv does too (in theory) and the idea involved him progressing through the underground learning more about what happened to the person that left him corn/learning what became of the family he used to babysit for, making it a way for the player to naturally learn about what happened over the course of the game while giving him time to develop as a character more.
>>742664284WGYTale
>>742664289They could have made it so you get a few references to Dalv in Snowdin, and once you reach the Dunes you find him on Oasis Town where he mets Martlet if she's following you, or make it so he's on the saloon, maybe he wanted to talk with Ceroba again after the Snowdin incident.
>>742664549Honestly all of those would be good. You don't even need to overhaul the game to give him more relevance in that way.
How long until prequel soul fangames based on the Flowers from chapter 5 show up?
How would you feel if the scrimblo you are in love with and slept with was actually a Netskie disquised as one? What would you do? Would you tell your actual scrimblo about it, or will you try to keep it a secret?
>>742664896I would wake up and not entertain another netskie inspired ntr discussion.

My friend was disappointed about Chapter 5 so I told him to play UTY and DRY. He is now a big fan of the big fox. Oddly enough the pacifist ending really resonated with him, despite having mixed opinions here.>>742666436Only if Cole encourages her.
>>742666161She's just adorable >>742666153I think it was just a cowboy show, not a flora cowboy show
>>742666508>Oddly enough the pacifist ending really resonated with himI almost got teary eyed with UTY's pacifst ending, which is weird because it takes a lot for me to feel emotional about anything in fiction, but a few days later I thought a bit more on the ending and I realized how dumb it really was

I woke up with the most severe migraine I've had in months, barely able to stand hearing ambient noise from outside or look at small amounts of light, so I imagined Wiki using healing magic on my head until I could fall back asleep for a bit, and that seems to have helped slightly.I don't know if healing magic would help dull pain if there isn't an actual injury for it to affect, but it's nice to imagine as such.Back to work.
you did get the canon ending, right?
>>742668651I don't think regular green magic could help with migraines, but they probably have other types of bullets made to dull that kind of pain
I haven't been in UTY threads for some time, can i get a status report of each fangame that's been talked about here?
>>742668795Ah, you're probably right. Then again, still have no clue what actually causes these for me, so maybe there really is something damaged up there that could benefit from healing magic.Still, I like the mental image of either laying my head in her lap, or having her at my bedside, as she gently presses her hands to my head while she tries to help with the pain, with a look of concern on her face.

What sort of taxonomic classifications do you think exist for Deltarune monsters?Off the top of my head, this is what I think the major categories are:>OrganicThe various anthro and not-so-anthro characters we know and love, who could conceivably exist with our understanding of biology.>SiliconMonsters that resemble masonry and ceramic, including Bowll and the Shufflers, even if you'd think they would be darkners.>Fire elementalsGrillby, that one waitress, Luzma, etc. who are basically sentient flame>Water/ice elementalsIce Hat, Know Cone, etc. Don't ask me how they work or why they don't melt.>GhostsSelf-explanatory. I don't know if possession rules or any of the regular laws of physics apply to them. Most of these shouldn't exist in a world without magic but they are canon. Maybe there are other types.
The person responsible for making HL2 stalker proportioned transmasc Ceroba is dumping all of their other art on esix like a mining corporation would dump mineral runoff into a river.Apparently they tried making an overworld sprite for Ceroba at one point, and even that looks noticeably long.

>>742670117That is possible. They also made another sprite even longer than this one, but the other one doesn't seem to be an overworld sprite exactly.

I wonder how long shades of justice will take
I sometimes think about how my various scrimblos would react to me losing my soul and becoming more detached and evil right in front of them, like if my body rose from the dead without my soul or something.I have a massive guilty pleasure for the idea of being corrupted (not a fetish, I just think it's a cool thing in storytelling) as one of my loved ones tries to turn me back to normal out of love.I've just been imagining Ceroba or someone trying to get me to stand down as I coldly threaten to do something terrible for some reason, as I say my soul was only holding me back with its "compassion" and "empathy", some dumb edgy bullshit like that.Of course, being broken through to by the power of love is a big part of it, so maybe I'd still need to have my soul shoved back inside me, but still.Anywho-
>>742675324Ceroba would get flashbacks from Chujin/Kanako if she saw you in that state.Luzma would think you're joking at first and would enjoy trying to out perform your edginess.Wiki would be too sad to fight or would switch to "battle mode" and just go for the kill.

I wonder how long that would go on for before she goes "wait a sec", and realizes I'm not joking around.Probably once you try to harm someone else, its all fun and games thinking she has a boyfriend that can keep up with her edgelord shenanigans, until he actually tries to eat a baby or put a bomb in an orphanage, she might slap you a few times to see if you're still there, but when even the heat of her flames isn't enough to get a reaction, that's when the silliness must take a back seat, or ramp it up, maybe she'll bring you back with the power of love and anime, after you both have an emotional and climatic battle (with Linkin Park music on the background)>Still, can't help but be a little disappointed she wouldn't try and break through to me, give me a good "I know you're still in there", that's always the best.Wiki is the kind of woman that you must stop from killing herself whenever she's feeling down, I'm not sure if she can take dealing with a zombified version of her loved one, maybe the "battle mode" is a sort of defense mechanism for her, whenever the pressure is too much, maybe she tries to kill you at first, but even putting the helmet on isn't enough to stop the feelings and that's when she tries acting instead of fighting. That being said, I'm not sure how any of them is going to fix this, how much love do you need to fill a body without a soul?

Man, I knew she wasn't always in the best of spirits, but I didn't figure it was that bad for her. If I had my soul, I'd probably feel bad for her.>maybe the "battle mode" is a sort of defense mechanism for her, whenever the pressure is too much, maybe she tries to kill you at first, but even putting the helmet on isn't enough to stop the feelings and that's when she tries acting instead of fighting.Interesting.So, she's fighting more to try and protect herself emotionally, rather than to really try and stop me?I feel like I'd probably start making jabs at her about it, like "Aw, what happened to all that "I'll die for you" talk?", really rubbing salt in the wound as she fights. This does give me a neat mental image, of her with her helmet on, one of her eyes slightly reflecting some light allowing it to be visible, revealing tears streaming down her face, even as she tries to keep herself under control.>That being said, I'm not sure how any of them is going to fix this, how much love do you need to fill a body without a soul? The easiest fix is if my soul is still around somewhere, just not inside me at the moment, but otherwise I have no idea. >>742676965No youre right, its fantastic stuff
>>742675324Reynault would be a very bad influence on soulless Anon.
Big fluffy $$$$-ing tails
Having played UTY I have no idea how it ended up being as popular as it did. None of the characters were particularly interesting or gripping, with the only slight exception being Starlo. There wasn't even any meta mystery to grab onto.
>>742675324>like if my body rose from the dead without my soul or somethingAre you talking about a Mindwipe from Casualties: Unknown? It's basically what you're describing and is essentially a chemical lobotomy, leaving the afflicted experiment permanently "hollow" and changed. The implication is that it's no longer the same consciousness.
>>742677340See, I've done some thinking about that too, and I think I thought of an interesting angle for that.I think I might end up going too far for even him to be okay with it, depending on what I feel like doing.I think if I saw even the slightest opportunity to make some changes to the world through certain actions, I could easily see myself (soulless) doing terrible things in the name of an ostensible "greater good", and I could see Reynault not being on board with that past a certain point, especially if it starts to get in the way of his fun at all.Of course, the most obvious conclusion of that is that Reynault would probably try and kill me, albeit not likely in a direct fight, though I do like the alternative possibility that he might try and get my soul back inside me to try and turn me back to normal again, if he liked having the real me around enough.Kinda like in Buffy the vampire slayer, when Spike initially wants Angel to lose his soul and become Angelus again, but eventually changes his mind once he remembers what an asshole Angelus was.
>>742677090>would probably be much more specific but probably more harmful than that overall. But would they be as comically evil? Because if your evil plans align with her more evil desires she might join you, you could be the most evil pair of edgy villains, unless your plans are too boring to her.>I'll have an AMV showdown with her as she tries to turn me back to normal and stop my evil plans. It will be the most emotional AMV (Or Live Action Music Video?) in the world, it will get millions of views on the Undernet.>I knew she wasn't always in the best of spirits, but I didn't figure it was that bad for her. Just so you know I'm not Oldentale anon, but I'm pretty sure he did say at one point that she's the type of woman you have to stop from killing herself.>So, she's fighting more to try and protect herself emotionally, rather than to really try and stop me?More like her defense mechanism doesn't work as intended and she must resort to something else.>I feel like I'd probably start making jabs at her about it, like "Aw, what happened to all that "I'll die for you" talk?", really rubbing salt in the wound as she fights. There's a chance that might only motivate her more to stop you, her love would never say something so harmful.
>>742677614No, I just mean like not having my soul inside me, since the few instances of soulless beings in UTDR we've gotten to see are usually pretty out of it in one way or another, like Flowey, Chara, and technically Kris.I think the soul works like an emotional regulator in UTDR, and without it, you're basically left like a Nobody from Kingdom Hearts, which also tended to not be the most stable people around either.Basically, what I'm saying is that I like the idea of being turned into a fucked up and evil version of myself and seeing my scrimblo loved ones try and deal with that.
>>742677090>The easiest fix is if my soul is still around somewhere, just not inside me at the moment, but otherwise I have no idea. (out of space)Does this mean that there's another (You) out there trying to go back to your body?Is this a new form of NTR if Reynault or Luzma chose to go with your souless body while your soul is trying to stop your evil vessel?
>>742675891>So, I lose my soul, and she either lays down, or tries to kill me, eh?>I suppose the latter could still count as being willing to kill "for" me, if she sees putting my soulless body down as "avenging me".What she does now is a mercy. Those childish hopes of saving anon, of somehow fixing what's been lost, must be put away. His continued existence only brings suffering, both to himself and those around him. Like a rabit animal, the greatest kindness he can be granted is a swift and painless death. Now anon please, do not struggle, it will be over soon.

>>742677956>Like a rabit animalWhat do you have against bunnies?
>>742677793>But would they be as comically evil?Mm, depends on how you look at it.I think I'd probably try and kill Asgore, and take control of the underground for myself, turning it into my own vision of a model society, no matter how many people have to die in the process.>Just so you know I'm not Oldentale anonAh, okay.>but I'm pretty sure he did say at one point that she's the type of woman you have to stop from killing herself.Man, I'd hope not. >>742677931>Does this mean that there's another (You) out there trying to go back to your body?Probably not, unless it's just the soul floating around by itself.I'm not entertaining the rest of that.

>>742677670I see soulless Anon and Reynault becoming anime villains. Maybe one would betray the other late into the arc, but they'd work together for most of it. Hell, maybe you'd assume he'd betray you at some point, and decide to double cross him first. There could be this whole thing throughout the arc teasing and setting up him double crossing you, only you the same episode the audience thinks he's about to switch sides in.
>>742678390>Animal I Have Become (Majin Anon vs Luzma AMV)Ah yes, that song is a favorite of mine, works well here.>That discussion was specifically in the context of her if she survived the war and spent a few millennia underground. That would make her suicidally depressed. Okay, that's fair.I guess she'd still be living for something evidently, if she wouldn't actually have killed herself while in the underground, but it still sucks for her to be in such a state. Also, "if"? What a shame.>I think she'd be fighting because its what's best, even if she hates it. You have become a very great threat and can't be allowed to hurt others.Huh. Good philosophy of hers. >>742679375wheres the kanako from this? I need to see how she looks
>>742679375How much do you want to bet that that Martlet is a self insert?
I've been hearing a lot about Deltarune Yellow, I lost what little faith I had in DR due to how shit chapter 5 was and I frankly have no hopes for chapter 6 and 7 (I'm also heavily suspecting Toby Fox will pull a chapter 8), and I also want to fucking kill Susie.Fill me on the basics of DRY, I'm really curious about wanting to try it out, I played Yellow, did neutral and pacifist and really loved the game, think it's way better than regular Undertale even if the pacifist ending is pants on head retarded.
>>742673127Don’t see what problem you have with Sadie, she looks fine (at least for any female drawn by Sig).My only problem with this image is how Gizmo’s head looks kind of small for his body, at least compared to other designs of him I’ve seen
>>742679409This pic is from 2024 where people cared less about Kanaclover, I couldn't find a Kanako
>>742678925>undertale et al is not really a setting which can be """explored""",What makes you say that? I think there's plenty of room for stories to tell and plenty of stuff to explore. We only see a small portion of the underground over the course of a single day. There's the rest of that cavern to explore, and an entire world outside of that, with a whole history and future to set it in. There's lots of cool stuff in the setting like the meta elements, determination, or the monsters. Sure I could make it legally distinct, but then it just ends up feeling like a cheap knockoff that wants to be Undertale, rather than being a new take on Undertale.
>>742679516I found the source and yeah there is no kanako but there is a clover
>>742679317>Oh, so you're turning the Underground into a facist state? it does sound pretty bad, like the setting for a hard mode Undertale. The underground needs to be able to stand on its own, no matter how rough the road is getting there. >>742679496It's pretty much a fic about these 2 idiots but it has an actual plot going on too, already confirmed won't be as meta as DR is.Has 2 full chapters of content, somewhat derivative of DR but has its own twists, also the writing isn't as good but does the job.

>>742679496>I also want to fucking kill Susie.Same>Fill me on the basics of DRY,The most basic premise is Deltarune but with Kanaclover, and it delivers on that. The writing is noticably different from Deltarune and UTY. Its not offensively bad or anything, just kind of bland. Its got good romance (absolutely mollywhomps Deltarune in that regard.), but its lacking in jokes and drama. Its got the latter two, but it rarely made me laugh and basically only managed to hook me with the suspense once. The gameplay is harder, but I didn't find it as fun (I notoriously do not play these games for the gameplay though so your milage may vary) and the puzzles are way harder than the ones in UT, DR, and UTY. Its pretty short. I'd recommend you just check it out and decide for yourself if its good.
>>742679989>Has DRY1 anon posted anything about chapter 3?yeah he posts pretty actively in the threads, and takes input from the threads occasionally.>especially when nothing like the roaring or prophecy has appeared in-game yet.don't quote me here but I don't think it's going to. based on what we already know, and what we learn from the secret boss of chapter 2 seems like it's going to heavily deal with a promise Cole made during something that took place well before the events of the game, alongside dealing with "the outlaw." .>And if he is working on it, how far along is he? >>742679496>>742679984Very grounded take on the Undertale Yellow cast in a Deltarune setting with a unique town. There are some things it actually improves on over DR, like an overworld talk option and actual running animations. The dark worlds, enemies, and puzzles are creatively designed despite the limited amount of development resources. There's emphasis on Kanacole but most characters from UTY are fleshed out, so if you love any of them this will have high points. I know people say the writing isn't stellar, but the characters feel real and consistent which is the main important thing. The game has an alt route (original concept, not the weird route) and a hard mode, which gives a good amount of replayability. The only grievances I have are that Cole is right-handed when Clover is left-handed in UTY, and the sheer number of typos. I'm playing through the alt route now and when I'm done I'll write a full review plus a list of typos.>>742679650Love this art from the alt route.>>742679989He keeps his cards close to his chest, which protects against spoilers, but there's enough of a homegrown fanbase that he can get feedback and ideas regularly without having to directly elicit it.>>742680523>as a matter of fact, have a prediction: you will see a brand new original fangame come out of nowhere before you will see any of these currently established concepts fully realizedIf you are so dismissive it's your loss. It doesn't need to be explored *in the original* but that has no bearing on the value of doing something outside of that.>and so elaborating on such elements, which are better left as empty space, is not anymore sensible than trying to make a redline fanfilm with a dramatic multilayered plot, rather than a simple vehicle for coolass animationFeels like an arbitrary line drawn in the sand.>you need to find a brand new narrative and mechanical angle to things that matterred theredoing so is good but is not a requirement for a story itself being worth exploring. A story does not need to "challenge the first book" or rise to its level to deserve to exist. That's not how story telling works, or why it exists. People should make effort to tell a good story, but just attempting to tell a story and explore ideas has value on its own.
>>742680195Honestly I'll take consistent blandness over more NTR and y/u/rishit humiliation rituals any day.One of the biggest issues I've had with Deltarune outside of Toby's dogshit fetishes is the sheer inconsistencies with the writing, the plot, the stakes and the characters a lot of the time.I also really wished we got to have more party members depending on what route or actions we took, Berdly would be a really fun party member and I'd much rather have him on board than either Susie or Ralsei, hell even Noelle when Susie is not around is such a fun an interesting character and she has incredibly cute interactions with Kris, but people like me are "gross" for wanting to be with cute crazy deer girl instead of bending over like a cuck and accepting the horrible fucking dogshit no good dyke "romance" Trick Tony wrote.I find it hilarious we can't even date Berdly as a joke, because you WILL submit yourself to the NTR humiliation ritual and you WILL like it.Unhinged rant aside, I'll definitely try it out.>>742680709I see, noted. As said previously, I much rather prefer consistency even if it is rather bland.I'm pretty forgiving with small mistakes like typos and small animation mistakes, so I don't think I'll have issues with it.
>>742680523>as a matter of fact, have a prediction: you will see a brand new original fangame come out of nowhere before you will see any of these currently established concepts fully realizedWell, you're wrong, lol, Deltarune Yellow unironically has way more progress than any other fangame announced after UTY's release, and Naranja is somehow one of the few orange soul takes still standing, making an Undertale/Deltarune fangame is much harder than making a fangame for something like Lisa, there's a lot of coding involved.Besides DRY and Naranja are just two of the fangames in development here, we have others like Oldentale and Geltarune.>we only see everything we need toThe anniversary stream proves that even Toby thinks the Underground still has a lot of potential left.
>>742680926>inconsistencies with the writing, the plot, the stakes and the characters a lot of the time.It really does seem like he's just writing it on the fly, despite the massive cope that he's "planned it all out." Deltarune is really inconsistent.

>>742681384>>742681285that's pretty much how I'm doing my stuff
>>742680523>as a matter of fact, have a prediction: you will see a brand new original fangame come out of nowhere before you will see any of these currently established concepts fully realizedThat's already happened multiple times. DRY was the first, and everything else came after. Still, its two chapters deep into a 5 chapter game. That's a sizable chunk of it done. >it does not truly matter in the scope of the originalI don't think it needs to. Sometimes people just want another Undertale story, just something in that world with those kinds of characters in those kinds of scenarios. Like all the Star Wars books, none of them need to exist, Star Wars does everything it set out to do in the main six movies, but they're a fun read nonetheless. >but if you truly intend to expand on undertale in a thematically appropriate way, you need to find a brand new narrative and mechanical angle to things that matterred thereI think if you do want to specifically follow up on the thematic and meta-narrative aspects of Undertale, its absolutely doable. Undertale as a setting is an excellent vehicle to make commentary on video games as a medium. It isn't exclusively limited to talking about suspension of disbelief vs completionism and the inherent amorality of the player. It can talk about other things. A bit like how Bioshock 2 used the city of Rapture to examine other philosophies aside from Objectivism. Off the top of my head (since I'm thinking about Bioshock 2) you could make a fangame that's a commenary on unnecessary sequels that exist purely to wring more gameplay out of an already finished narrative. Or you could make one that's a direct counter to Undertale's thesis, pointing out all the holes in its arguments. I have others as well, but I'm not sharing them because I actually intend to write something with them.
>>742681469isn't that how most indie devs do it?
>>742680523As for the spare vs kill mechanic. That is something of a white elephant in any prospective fangame that's trying to do a lot with the meta-narrative side of things, but I think its workable. For one, you can just play it straight like UTY did. UTY told a compelling story by doing so from the perspective of someone who actually lives in the world and has to deal with those mechanics as facts of life, rather than an omnipotent time god from outside of space and time. Or as I mentioned earlier, it could tie into a direct critique of Undertale's core theming. Or it could be expanded on. There's a lot of moral and philosophical questions that just get handwaved away for the sake of exploring that one central question in Undertale. Like we never even think of how Frisk feels about all this when Sans is telling us we should've spared more monsters.
I have nearly finished the lineart for my Wiki drawing, but I've gotta put it down for a sec to hang with the boys for a bit, so hopefully this thread will not fucking evaporate before I can come back and finish this off.Try and keep things afloat for me, would you kindly?
>>742680846I wonder if they specifically asked for Roba's head to be shaped like a ball.
>>742681984Apparently the idea was to make it look like a HOI4 portrait, but with Ceroba.
>>742680846Maybe the commissioner is into abstract art
>>742681285There's a mountain of evidence to suggest Toby has been watering down or completely screwing over the plot of Deltarune to try and be subversive and appeal to normies, a bunch of shit we know he had planed many years in advance went nowhere or was completely changed, Queen for instance was entirely different in her original concept and even her theme reflected the fact she seemed much more sinister. There was a massive and sudden change in tone from chapter 1 to chapter 2, Susie changed way too much way too fast as a character, similar story with Ralsei to a lesser degree. It feels like Toby decided he'd much rather just go with the same quirky shit he did in Undertale, which felt really dumb given how the plot of chapter 1 seemed to mock many of the things Undertale stood for. This has been a huge issue in almost every chapter release so far, way too many things are walked back or changed next chapter, hell, in the WR's case, Noelle's deflowering was almost immediately changed because Toby would rather appease to social media than have artistic integrity and stick to his vision.I also think he completely rewrote the Knight at some point, it was painfully obvious the Knight was meant to be either Dess, Carol or Rudy (I find the Kriselle Knight theory interesting but I don't buy into it too much yet), and he's so obsessed with being subversive that he's desperately trying to come up with a le heckin ebin mystery for the Knight reveal, even if it derails literally everything. At this point it doesn't matter who the Knight is if we don't know what's the Knight's goal.
>>742680926Fucking same on all counts. Kind of a funny side tangent, but the fangame I'm working on (not DRY) started because I wished I could play as Berdly instead of Kris. I will say though that while I take issue with all those things, I absolutely do need the humor and jokes DR has to be able to enjoy the gameplay. I played DRY on release and ended up having a really bad time because the humor which is usually there to make me tolerate the gameplay I don't care for wasn't there. That's a matter of personal taste though. Everyone else here who played it seems to like it.
>>742681838>but I've gotta put it down for a sec to hang with the boys for a bit, >would you kindly? What, are you gonna go firebomb Ryan Industries?
>>742682468Right, sorry, been playing through Bioshock again recently, had that voice of his on my mind.
>>742682313>but the fangame I'm working on (not DRY) started because I wished I could play as Berdly instead of Kris.NTA, Kris is one of the most interesting protagonists in all of gaming, I can't wrap my head around the idea of not wanting to play as him.Deltarune wouldn't be the same without his scheming ass working against us.
i guess i simply have way too purpose-centric view on fiction and stories compared to you lotthere's way too much shit in the current year, light novels with a gorillion volumes that go nowhere are so blasé they don't even work as a punchline>>742680862>a story itself being worth exploring>arbitrary line drawn in the sandfiction is nothing but lines in the sand making elaborate patterns, and if you put none yourself then your concept will simply becoming too amorphous to hold shape and diffuse into the beachthat was a very pretentious way to describe indulgent fanfiction, retreading the same paths, doing nothing but satisfying the obsessives who simply want to devour everything featuring the characters they lovewhich may be something you want to do, but that is not an "exploration" but its exact opposite, it's returning back to the comfy familiar spot where everything is as it should be>>742681542>Like all the Star Wars booksis star wars' trajectory really something you want to follow? do you want the titanic weight of endless tertiary material to recontextualize the original thing into total unrecognizability? that's how you get kreia btw>vehicle to make commentary on video games as a mediumyeah that's something you can work with, my point is that there must be SOMETHING of unique value that straddles between being exactly the same to the point of total pointlessness and being so different as to basically exploit the name recognition
>>742681812To me the main issue with spare vs. kill is that Undertale players will spare absolutely everything and any other path gets treated as an afterthought. Some will just do the pacifist route; others pacifist then genocide, and truly OCD players will try out different neutral routes. As far as I can tell this was not necessarily the intention for Undertale; you were expected to kill Toriel the first time playing, if nobody else, and figure out the big twist at the end. Now that everyone knows the twist it loses its punch and pacifism is treated as the default. There are two ways to fix it: first, you can subvert this message as some anons have suggested, by having some monsters that need to die to achieve the best possible ending. Second, you can play it straight but have pacifism be genuinely difficult or unintuitive so most players won't get it the first time, and it's a genuine challenge to pursue this path.>>742682031But why? Why would you do that?>>742682313I love humor but it's one of those things that takes both talent and practice. I've gotten laughs out of people both irl and in my writings, but it's not something I can consistently pull off and it can be a real challenge to write something really funny. DRY does have some good jokes at points, even if most of those are "sensible chuckle" tier. I find that it pulls off romantic/sexual humor fairly well at points, being suggestive and exploiting embarrassment while not being overly raunchy or gross. I would like more comedy in it, but the only way to achieve that is to see a lot of comedic material and shamelessly steal either bits or technique. Depending on your internal thoughts, you might be better geared toward writing comedy, romance, horror, etc. Mastering multiple tones is hard.
>>742682626From a writer's perspective, I agree he's a very interesting character. (or at least he was before he just decided to become Toby's favorite blueballing implement. His schtick got really old in chapter 5). But from a Watsonian perspective, I hate him and want to kill him. I laughed when Sans fucked his mom. Was funny watching that little shit suffer. Anyways I was just thinking about how great it would be to have a player character who didn't fight me at every turn, and who appreciated me. And I thought Berdly would be a perfect fit. He's got an ego that's really easy to work, and being the dumbass that he is and such a gamer, he would jump at the prospect of being the rpg protagonist, without ever stopping to think about the existential horror underlying the concept.
>>742681285>Deltarune is really inconsistent.I swear that each chapter feels like a different game. Even beyond the character acting or the dated memes (2018 is an alternate dimension compared to 2026), something mechanically feels ever so slightly off and the visuals change.
>>742682129>Noelle's defloweringkris was the raped in that scene
>>742682817>do you want the titanic weight of endless tertiary material to recontextualize the original thing into total unrecognizability? I'm free to ignore any of it that I don't like, just like with the Star Wars books. >that's how you get kreia btwKreia is cool though. And so is KOTOR 2. Sure its very different spiritually from the movies, but its got a lot to say in response to them, makes some good points, and is a compelling story in its own right. And here's the part where I say that my game is basically KOTOR to Undertale, being a prequel set in ancient history so I can do all kinds of wacky stuff in the setting with new characters and locations while exploring new themes and reexamining old ones. >my point is that there must be SOMETHING of unique value The unique value doesn't have to be thematic though. Even just a compelling narrative is unique value enough. Like UTY. Its not doing anything crazy thematically, but it tells a good story with strong characters, and that gives it merit.
>>742683018>I hate him and want to kill him. I laughed when Sans fucked his mom. Was funny watching that little shit suffer.I don't think Kris's acts are evil enough for him to deserve suffering, but only because we don't even know what's the end goal of his master plan, if he truly is trying to end the world, yeah he's a total prick.>Anyways I was just thinking about how great it would be to have a player character who didn't fight me at every turn, and who appreciated me. But that's exactly what makes Kris such a good MC, I always liked when in a game the player is sort of a secondary character compared to some other character in the plot (Like Martin in Oblivion) I also like how Kris explores the relationship between the player and the avatar we control, I can't blame Kris for hating (You), if I were in his position I too would try to get rid of the outer entity controlling my actions.>And I thought Berdly would be a perfect fit.I get your points and he would certainly make for a funny and unique protagonist, but I still prefer Kris over him.
>>742683258(You) used Kris to Rape Noelle until she liked it, that was a double rape for the price of one
>>742682817>fiction is nothing but lines in the sand making elaborate patterns, and if you put none yourself then your concept will simply becoming too amorphous to hold shape and diffuse into the beach *everything* will diffuse into the beach, its only a matter of when.>which may be something you want to do, but that is not an "exploration" but its exact opposite, it's returning back to the comfy familiar spot where everything is as it should be It is still an exploration, it is asking questions that maybe someone else knows the answer to, but going on the journey and finding out the answer yourself. You are exploring ideas so that you yourself understand them better. Its purpose is thinking for your own sake instead of something lofty. "What would these characters do, how would they think act or even feel?" This develops something in you as you create it, thats greater than the creation itself. Its why "fanfiction" has existed since the dawn of man. Our brains like inventing scenarios because its a problem solving engine, and engaging with something like that can make it better at what it is. Its good to attempt to explore something completely brand new, but that doesn't detract from this more self indulgent pursuit, and both can exist in the same person.
>>742682834>you were expected to kill Toriel the first time playingI don't think so. The opening section serves as a tutorial for pacifism as a concept. It practically beats you over the head with it and Toriel is the test and serves as the final lesson for those who fail. She ensures that the player will at least learn why and how they should do pacifism, even if they still decide not to. Either through her tutorials, or through dying at half health. The game includes unique dialogue both for sparing her the first time and for killing her and reloading, so both are expected. >There are two ways to fix it:I would say you should make spare vs kill an intentional red herring. People will come into the game knowing Undertale and will try to play by its rules, so they'll be perfectly set up to be caught completely off guard by a moral conflict that isn't about spare vs kill, even if it sometimes interacts with it.
>>742683205>I swear that each chapter feels like a different game.Well technically...
>>742683205They basically are different games. Each one is the length of Undertale, the team is radically different each time, and they release years apart.

This is an issue online again so I will explain my story again: I quit the opportunity to work on Homestuck and Undertale because they required giving up my Catholic and conservative beliefs. I spent 8 years alone as a result, literally dreaming of revenge, including making a webcomic in the end times about those responsible going to Hell or Purgatory, including my former best friend who secured me the opportunity in the first place.I am now making that webcomic. I have also become the number one genius in the world at eviscerating lgbtq ideologies. I threaten the animation community (also responsible for popularizing lgbtq) with harder hitting truth bombs if they do not yield to my demands, so they yield. I have many many secrets I have yet to even say about the evils of lgbtq. And so know well: when you support Kris and Frisk as seriously “nonbinary,” or enable that hateful delusion, you are on a collision course with a path of vengeance that will be a legendary eschatological event. you are placing yourself on a train to pain more excruciating than I felt in those 8 years.Oh by the way I did like it when people thought I was a girl… just for fun :) but I haven’t had real fun since 2012.
I thought the schizo would never show up again, its been a while

It'd just be a different dynamic. Really feels like there’s been a drought in fangames lately, and discussion in these threads has gone nowhere.I wonder if this coincides with the release of new Deltarune chapters. There seemed to be multiple fangames getting updates before chapters 3 and 4, and then suddenly after the number of updates was cut in half.
>>742684693There was that one update on DR broken destiny and a small one on one of the orange projects, but yeah it's been pretty deadAlso I guess people are waiting for the UTF doc
>>742684121I entirely agree it's kinda hard to feel any pity for Kris even if I do think he doesn't deserve most of the shit he went through, something that I genuinely despise is how for Kris the game nonstop hammers the message into your head that "Your choices don't matter".Meanwhile on Susie's end the game goes out of it's way to suck her up and say "write your own fate and ending!', and while some might cope and say that Susie's hubris and such will catch up to her and it's part of the prophecy and whatever, I have 0 hope for Toby going with this angle, it's like anons forgot Undyne and Alphys and how the exact same shit is repeating itself, Toby is an NTR cuck and a y/u/ri faggot, there's no way he won't play Suselle straight (heh).Susie is gonna take over as protagonist at some point, I guarantee this is gonna be the case.>>742684348I liked chapter 3 at first because I was a bit sick when I played, but on a repeat playthrough I fucking hated it, mainly due to the minigames but still, Tenna feels like a discount Spamton in many ways and chapter 3's brand of humor just feels weaker.Chapter 5 truly does feel like it wasn't even written by Toby, Weird Route was kino and definitely feels like Toby's writing, but normal route just feels incredibly off most of the time. It's hard to explain, but it just feels wrong.>>742684459In retrospect you're right, I hate how Ralsei using fire spells and possibly even Fireshock has been hinted at for ages and then we just get a small little moment of it and nothing else, shit was so fucking lame.I really wished Ralsei got a moment akin to what Susie had in chapter 4 to help build up his new spell, worse yet, Ralsei could've had so many interactions with another extremely shafted character in chapter 5 in Asgore, but nothing came of it.

>>742685197>your life has been so suffused with star wars (whether you ignored them or not) that it's effectively impossible to consider the original story in its own contextEven the movies heavily imply the cyclical nature of the conflict. That battle between the Sith and Jedi has been going on for a long time, and it only ends once the chosen one shows up and brings balance to the force. And even then things are basically set back to how they were at the start of the Republic, so it leaves the door open for history to repeat. George Lucas talked about this in interviews. You know the quote about "history is like poetry, it rhymes". Kreia works as a critique of the movies just as she does a critique of the endless EU. Don't forget that endless war isn't the only topic she discusses either. She does just as much to shit talk both the Sith and the Jedi's philosophies, and the force itself. And while the codes and creeds of those didn't exist in the films, the underlying philosophies were still plainly apparent through their words and actions. >but it sure would elevate the work, Absolutely, but its not required. >but slice-of-life vignettes are really not the thing to strive forNta but first of all, there's nothing wrong with slice of life stories. There's multiple genres of literature comprised almost entirely of it. Slice of life stories can teach lessons just as well as fantasy epics. And even when they don't, the entertainment is value enough. Second of all, character focused fanfiction isn't necessarily slice of life. Maybe someone wants to write what the characters do after the story, or what they did before, or maybe how things could have gone differently.
>>742685545Yeah, there were two Snowgrave focused ones based on what they thought the festival would be like. (Which were way better than the festival we got btw).

>>742685921>did anyone play TS Underswap?Yeah, I did awhile ago. Remember really enjoying it. Writing was great, jokes landed and were paced well. The original characters felt really fitting. There's even a side quest system in place which gives each area more character (nothing major but there's a lot of cute, little moments that arise from it). Say, how tall is Wiki exactly?I know she's tall, presumably taller than the average human man by quite a bit, but I'm curious as to whether there are any specifics to her height. Also because I imagined asking her to lower herself to my eye level for a moment so I could pet the top of her head and make her blush, and I thought that was a cute mental image but I wanna know how accurate that would be.

For awhile now an idea for a story has been rattling around in my head. I remember coming into uty threads a couple of times and seeing that one poster repost "Reminder Ceroba is fat."Which naturally lead my perverse brain to think about a story where reality is warped by a note with that same phrase, Ceroba getting fatter every time she reads it, but being in denial about it. Any other perverted fucks in here think this sounds good
>>742690079...Honestly, I'm not opposed to her getting bigger, but just her getting fat isn't enough for me, something has to be *done* with her fat.
>>742689931Yes. That is your prime directive.
>>742690116
>>742690079Depends, how's it distributed?
>>742689309Maybe try using some Toriel art as reference.
>>742690159Personal preference is for a pear/maternal shape as she gets fatter. I do just kinda prefer butts out of the three Bs though so I'm biased.>>742690115I like the reality warping so she doesn't realize that she's fat, I think being in denial is also hot. What do you mean by something needs to be done with the fat?
I've done it. I studied multiple different images and artists for this, and while it's not perfect, I have created the first hoof fetish image of Wiki. For a first real attempt, I think it went okay. Two versions, in fact, because I had an offshoot idea that I felt compelled to make, since it was fairly simple.Version one, Wiki showing off her hooves: https://files.catbox.moe/vmlyxg.pngVersion two, Wiki getting an unexpected response to her hooves (explicit): https://files.catbox.moe/tyw6b8.pngRather small images, but I would appreciate any feedback, thoughts, whatever you may wish to say on this.Next (planned) image, Polynesian sex with Wiki. The joke is dead, long live the joke.
>>742690402>I like the reality warping so she doesn't realize that she's fat, I think being in denial is also hot.Hm, denial doesn't do too much for me, unless it's done in a certain way, like if she had a partner (lovingly) teasing her for being fat while she's embarrassed about it.>What do you mean by something needs to be done with the fat?Oh, I mean, I just usually like when there's something more than just a character being fat, like their belly or other enlarged assets being played with, or certain other things that are probably just specific to me because I'm a very specific freak, etc.Her being fat is nice though, so anything else is probably outside the scope of whatever story you may wish to make with this, so it's fine.

>>742690735Ahem, they're hooves.

>>742690725I had an idea of Chujin being a chubby chaser. Potentially the one who wrote the note to tease Ceroba. Honestly while writing this I think that's a good way to go. Chujin is happier with each iteration because of his totally secret fetish that everyone in the underground but Ceroba knows. If I end writing this I might do one for Chujin as well. Lean into him being a twink and get extremely thick around the hips while being teased about it.

>>742691213The bed buckles, breaks, and reforms all in an instant. Still undersized. Getting new beds was becoming ritualistic as Ceroba outgrew one each year after marrying Chujin. Even now, her triple wide hips were only a month or two away from flowing off the bed. Something that made her husband all the more excited.>>742691249It can be comedic and hot. It just feels like it slots into place better.
>>742691183Apologies, anon. I guess I'm the one at fault for drawing her wrong to begin with. Maybe I should go back and redo that battle sprite.
>>742691325>Oh, guess it's just a weird angle then.It was my first time drawing them and they're weird to draw, cut me a bit of slack. And yes, I did use that battlesprite of her for reference when making this, so it's less me making fun of it and moreso just being "on-model", as that was one of the primary complaints back then. >I kinda assumed she was gonna have some real big proper hooves with how much you talked about what actual digitigrade hooves look like. That can happen later, when I get around to it.Or hell, you can send me some more references and I can use those for when I draw her entire legs again. >>742691450Eh, not a fan of hyper. Not hyper fat at least.
>>742691543I thought of it more her being 7 feet tall and fat rather than being a blob.
>>742691490I did everything, everything you ever asked!I executed the plan!*ahem*, anyway.I addressed the primary complaint at the time, me having drawn her with foot-hooves, by studying more proper hooves, and giving her those instead, the overall structure of her legs was its own issue not directly intertwined with her "feet".I'll be drawing her again shortly, I might even be setting up the basic sketch for my next image of her after I shower, so if you have any particular references for her legs you'd like me to use, now would be the time to send them my way, if you feel so inclined.
>>742679496Deltarune Yellow has a focus on the underutilized characters from Undertale yellow by putting them in new scenarios that don't doom them by the plot (Kanako and Cole/Clover especially, but there's also fox family stuff, Sadie, Martlet and Integrity), great light world story that I have little to no complaints aboutThe dark worlds so far aren't terribly impressive but fun enough and have their moments, Day 2's especially feels more robust over Day 1's much like how actual Deltarune has a very basic chapter 1, it also has some Mario and Luigi styled puzzles where you split Kanako and Cole up to solve them.I think the only thing that can ruin real Deltarune is Suselle (I liked chapter 5's dark world) and I think it's somewhat likely it's gonna be the focus of the main routes story, DRY doesn't have anything close that evokes that feeling for me but obviously has much lower production value
>>742691607Wait, is she getting taller too?

>>742690626Good work anon, I really like how she looks like here.
>>742691724Well, if you do, I guess I'll have to make another hoof-focused image of her based on how you draw her then.Maybe I'll lock her in some stocks next time, have some fun at her expense.

>>742690886I have botched EXTENSIVELY about the unbirthing crap as long as it's been going on, to the point that I gave up and stopped out of recognition that nothing I say will prevent itI have seriously thought about joining the schizo in reporting these threads when the fetish talk starts but I recognize it would be cutting off my nose to spite my face. I do fucking hate it though, from the bottom of my heart. I hate the fetish fics, I hate the fetish pics, and sometimes I just close the thread over it and probably miss something I would have wanted to see or discuss. It's a cancer and I've watched it grow over time as people get more and more comfortable about it in the open. Please just make a /trash/ thread once a week to get it out of your systems, this is a blue board and so is /vrpg/.
>>742692258If I got mad everytime a thread derailled into fetish posting I wouldn't be using 4chan period, bro
>>742692258Anon, you do know you can just scroll past discussion you don't like, right? Its really best practice to do that, since this whole site is loaded with fetish content on basically every board. The only difference is that blue board stuff is softcore vs the hardcore you see on red boards. Even these threads have had fetish posting of some kind since the beginning (like the Roba piss greens or fatfag Kanako)
>>742692463>or fatfag Kanakohey! when i do it, its to flashbang the thread. im not inviting an open discussion about kanako's lard lust.
>>742692352Nta but there's a pretty stark difference when people oogle over cute vidya girls and unbirthing
>>742692352Do NOT pretend like this shit is normal, fuck you for insulting my intelligence. Most threads don't have 50 post discussions about vore or armpits, and the only threads I see that regularly DO are fully rotted /vg/ threads with nothing to talk about anymore. I do not want these fangame threads to turn into that; we're not even talking about turning into /utg/ anymore (unless /utg/ got even worse since I last went there), we're talking about undead VN general behavior. We HAVE new content, we do not NEED to behave like that.
>>742692501Regardless of your intention, that is inviting it. We've certainly had discussions over it.
>>742692258I'm like 99% sure I know the exact anon behind the unbirthing spam, and it's the same guy who always jumps to the unbirthing drawfag's defense when faced with mild negativity.Pretty sure it's also the guy leaving those creepy comments on all the e621 uploads, same ESL grammar and tone.
>>742692696Whether or not it is the same guy, I think naming and chasing specific posters is a bad precedent to set. We already had serious problems from that sort of thing just the other day.
>Be me>Be Ceroba>Eat a hamburger>Instantly dust
>>742692519I should be more directly insulting then. You need to get off your computer if this genuinely bothers you this much. You gain nothing from continuing to be angry about this besides potential humiliation. If you want a more heavily moderated video game forum, you're barking up the wrong tree.
>>742693098I'm going to start actually reporting these posts, both here and on /vrpg/, even if it means the threads are more likely to get nuked. I've been too tolerant for too long and I'm not going to accept getting told to go to reddit if I don't want to see hundreds of posts discussing the ethics of shoving a child up your vagina so he can be reborn in your image. If we all have to go down then so be it, I'm already about to kill myself
>>742693098>>742693202can both of you calm down, this is not worth getting this worked up over, and this hostility helps no one
>>742692696The issue with this as someone else already mentioned is that it gets to a point where regardless if it is them or not, everyone somehow gets labelled as the problem poster, and it just seriously derails these threads because there's one or two people obsessed with accusing someone of being someone else, because they happened to like something they don't like, or have similar opinions. It's way beyond the point of "oh it's definitely this guy." It's pretty much posting roulette now. All one person has to do is say something, disagree with a take, or make a offhand comment, and someone here will lock on to them with malice, because they're convinced it's someone else. We've already had two whole ass threads that shows what happens when this gets out of hand. None of this is worth getting riled up over. All it's going to do is give actual problem posters ammunition, and the worst part is people already know this yet they just can't help themselves.
>>742694121How are people supposed to stay quiet if they see something they don't like here? Wouldn't saying nothing just make it worse?
>>742694261Saying nothing does nothing. The only way you can actively make things worse is by saying something. Getting hostile and combative results in one of two things, either you hit an innocent poster and either drive them out of the thread motivate them to become a shirposter, or you hit a shitposter and they dig their heels in and shitpost more to spite you. The only winning move is not to play.Even if you absolutely feel that you must report these posts (I would say you shouldn't, because bringing in the jannies is just going to ensure than no good posts are allowed) don't announce that you're doing that. That's only going to make people harbor grudges against you, leading to more hostilities, and make trolls do the things you dislike more in an attempt to get the thread deleted.
>>742694261Constantly drawing attention to a problem is only going to make the problem worse. That's the kind of place these threads are. If someone comes here and starts trying to turn this place into a shitstorm, you're not going to give them the satisfaction of a reaction are you?Of course not, because you know if you do they're just going to double down, or potentially cause more people to do the same thing.
>>742690626not into feet (or hooves for that matter) but she does look pretty cute in these, her legs are specially nice, I think her arms are a bit bigger than you would expect from someone like her.
>>742682031At that point, you could look at any portrait of Flam Kish from Fuga for inspiration.
>>742688758This has pretty good spritework. The dialogue leans too hard into ow the edge, but Dina's overworld sprite is great. I prefer it to her DRY sprite, honestly>>742690626The first one is cute. Well done!>>742691217Yeah I'll pass on that.>>742692519It got bad only in the night because, well, it's the middle of the night. Don't stress over it. >>742682626That mostly is down to autists pissing blood over Kris not doing what they want and being an actual character.>reeeeeeeeeeee how dare you invalidate meeeeeeeeeenigger and the faggot

>>742695336Eh, I usually prefer to draw characters with their canonical body types, so other than Bedo, or non UTDR related characters, that's probably not going to be too common from me.Huh, deja vu.
i want him
>>742695484At least there's one character for that
>>742694261Let's say an innocent poster liked really big breasts, and there's a problem poster here that likes really big breasts, and there's someone else who really doesn't like big breasts. Now let's say someone posted an image that has it. The innocent poster expressed their fondness for the image and hoped to see more, only for the person to not like it to start hounding and insulting the innocent poster because they think it's the problem poster, and they refuse to listen to reason, doubling down on the accusations, causing the innocent poster to get mad, and likely someone else stepping in to tell the guy to cut it out, only for them to then claim their samefags. Now repeat this exact scenario hundreds of times for different things. You see the problem? There's no winning here. You've either just caused an innocent poster to potentially leave these threads for good, because you refused to believe they had nothing to do with all the problem posting someone else did, despite liking the same thing. Or you just gave a problem poster more reasons to do what they do, because they can see your reacting and directing your negativity at innocent people. You can't control what other people will and won't post here, and shouldn't try to either. If you see something you're not into, just scroll past it, don't complain, move on, and go on about your business. If someone's trying to start something, don't react, don't respond, just ignore them. The only way to stop something from becoming a bigger problem is to not say anything and make it a problem.
why not take these designs and make your own thing?i feel like it would be 1000 times better to just make your own story
>>742695451>Dollar Store Fun Gang look like the protagonists of a furry persona game....so they look like JRPG heroes?
>>742695130>The first one is cute. Well done!Yeah, could've done better with that second one, it was mostly just a whim.
>>742695694Very different types, there's no fantasy in the latter, just teenager romance drama.
>>742695663fangames make for good practice before starting a more profesional project, you get mechanics, chararacters a setting and assets to use, people on the internet are also willing to work for free on a fangame project, can't say the same for an original game
>>742695646If someone's posting something I don't like regardless of what it is, the correct response is to tell them to not post it here. How is what I'm a doing the problem?
>>742695897>How is what I'm a doing the problem?NTA, but to a answer your a question, it is a because there's a difference between something you don't a like, and something that is actually a problem.

>>742695604Ceroba...
Hey, anon who wrote the Wiki "Polynesian sex" green a while back, I have a question for you, regarding the drawing I'm going to make based on it.My current plan is to have the image in first-person, from the anon's perspective, with Wiki laying down on the bed as the anon's inside her, but I didn't initially know what to do with the anon's or Wiki's hands, so I thought it'd be cute to have the anon's hands on Wiki's hips, and have Wiki grabbing the anon's wrists while she says she needs them, like she's trying to pull the anon even closer to her.Any thoughts on that? Have an alternative idea for it, or any ideas you'd want me to consider?Basically just spitballing here.
So did everyone start yelling again because we hit fetish critical mass or something and pissed off some anon in particular?
Would you play a Chapter 0 fangame where you control the Vessel and explore the Shelter with Kid Kris and Dess?
>>742696168i don't think i'm Ceroba...
>>742692258I'd be less annoyed with it if they didn't get pissy over it being called fetish posting.
>>742696386The only people who get upset about being called fetishists are the unbirthing guys, everyone else knows what they are just fine.
>>742695897Pretty much every drawanon here has drawn an image that features something that people really like, and an image that features something that people aren't into. It's the same for writeranons as well.By your logic they shouldn't post anything here period because they happened to draw one thing that you don't personally like.Yeah sorry but this place don't work like that. You're going to see a whole bunch of stuff here, and you have to learn to deal with it.If you decided to start being hostile towards drawanons, writeranons. and other posters because they like something that you don't, then the only problematic person here is you.If you're unable to keep things to yourself, and hellbent on complaining about everything that bothers you, you'll find yourself being the catalyst of a shitstorm, or worse the threads getting deleted.
>>742696534>or worse the threads getting deletedSo be it
>>742696650If you don't like the threads so much, why not just leave? It makes no difference to you in the end.
>>742696431I don't mind unbirthing, I've kind of become numb to it, or at least when it's contained or done in a certain way. Not sure how someone could deny it's a fetish because it is a fetish. Pregnancy is a fetish, so it doesn't make sense that unbirthing wouldn't be.
BBW Ceroba should not be this controversial on /v/ of all places lmao
>>742696386I like it, more specifically when the drawanon does it cause you don't really see it happen, and he makes normal pregnancy alts without it. I like many other fetishes to. I have no shame.
>>742695484>so other than BedoBurying your face in Bedo's soft belly! Bedo getting annoyed but not stopping you because she's into it too!
>>742696705I think people are intrigued by the concept of an unbirthing fetish being drawn in a way that it no longer resembles a fetish anymore. It is an interesting question: is it possible to conceptualize somewhat extreme fetishes in such a way that it loses its perversity and becomes acceptable to the artistic eye?
>>742695371Yeah that one. Lovecraft's Cat is another trip of the /co/ schizo known as "guy"
>>742696976To be fair there was one guy that unironically argued that those posts weren't fetish material
>>742696997Yes actually, I do plan on making an image of an anon doing that with her eventually. While also licking inside her bellybutton because I am a very normal individual with normal tastes.
>>742696976We can tell.
>>742697061Either that guy was trolling and trying to a get rise out of people, or they were in denial. Either way as someone who's okay with it, it's 100% a fetish regardless of what form it comes in.
>>742697167>she actually pushes your head in once you begin licking
>>742697325Hot.
>>742696249I don't care about the vessel so no
>>742697298Is this another one of your attempts to try and rile someone up by calling them out as troll? It's getting old now.
>>742697007Take everything you just said, apply it to shit fetishists, and see if that answers your question.
>>742696351Ceroba after she suffers from a dissociation disorder after killing clover
>>742697575Other way around, that's actually the anon who tried to paint one of the drawfags as a troll the other day in the /vrpg/ thread.Check his grammar, and cross reference it with that e621 account.Note his constant mistaken usage of the word "to" instead of "too".He said it himself, he's shameless.
>>742697612The difference is that feces are inherently disgusting and ugly, while pregnancy can be beautiful. The problem that pregnant art faces in general is that it tends to look like a fetish even when deliberately drawn to not be that. If you can draw pregnant art that doesn't look like a fetish, however, you theoretically could draw unbirthing art that doesn't look like a fetish.
Martlet and Serober eating burg
So, two threads this time around, each dominated by fetish stuff for the most part.At least this one wasn't NTR.
>>742697852>you theoretically could draw unbirthing art that doesn't look like a fetish.Theorically, like a monkey with a typewriter writing the entire works of Shakespeare
>>742697852Is feces not also a part of the circle of life, the conversion of food into waste matter? When are we gonna start getting art of Zenith Martlet eating Clover, slowly digesting him, before shitting out his now brown remains?
>>742697980Burned out of all of it really. That Kanacole fic was refreshing for how vanilla it was.
>>742698309Eh, vanilla isn't enough for some people sometimes.Could be worse.
>>742698309was there really that much fetish discussion this thread?
Aaand we're across the line.
>>742697736This also feels like another attempt to rile someone up as a troll if I'm being honest with you. All these constant callouts have happened so many times and so often it just feels like desperation as a means stir something up.I couldn't care less at this point, and I imagine others are sick of it, just give it a rest already.
>>742698360To my knowledge this thread was pretty okay, there was hardly any fetish talk.
>>742698407A-okay, no shame in taking the blue pill.
>>742698026I have faith in our drawanons>>742698238Reread what you wrote and it's quite obvious. It is inherently degenerate because it is degrading and entropic, even besides the whole cannibalism issue.Pregnancy is the opposite, since it's the creation of new life. You could argue that adding unbirthing to it makes it degenerate, but in this niche case we're talking about an abstract soul entering the body, and doing so for "purification." You can disagree and find objection to the subject matter, but it's not at all equivalent.>>742698309It's hard for me to believe it was his first attempt at NSFW. A lot of passion and talent went into it.
When do you guys think the next major upset's going to happen, like the next DR chapter release, or new major fangame thing?
>>742698548>It is inherently degenerate because it is degrading and entropic, even besides the whole cannibalism issue. Is it?Some would say Clover's body being returned to the earth as Zenith's feces is beautiful, he's completing his journey of life, fulfilling his role in nature.
>>742698587Once the Wildfire demo releases and we get to see trans Luna
>>742698642No, they...They wouldn't do that, they...Oh god.
>>742698587I don't know how DRYanon's schedule looks but I predict Chapter 3 releasing before 6, and we're likely to have more stuff related to fangames here coming out too like DRY2, Oldentale, etc.. Other fangames, memes etc. are going to be a wildcard.>>742698635Ok anon. There are starving cannibals out there, go fulfill your role in nature.
>>742697007>It is an interesting question: is it possible to conceptualize somewhat extreme fetishes in such a way that it loses its perversity and becomes acceptable to the artistic eye?We have an artist here that could pull it of multiple times, and is conscious about how he draws it whenever he's requested to, so it's definitely possible.
>>742698587>or new major fangame thing? It has to be a fangame from here, otherwise I don't see them gaining that much traction, UT Promise released and it was mostly ignore same for CWK, even if that one got a bit more of discussion
>>742698723It has to happen anon, the UTW team did a deal with the devil and the lesbian curse requires a sacrifice
>>742698729It's only cannibalism if they're the same species, Zenith Martlet eating and digesting Clover wouldn't be cannibalism. It would be nature.
>>742698835Riley will be the Perseus to rescue her from such a fate.
>>742698956>herAnon...
>>742698956Riley can't even save himself from Mr.Sunshine, let's not get ahead of ourselves.
>>742698853I would say that eating any creature with human-level intelligence would count as cannibalism
>>742699062Depending on how you classify "human-level intelligence", that includes a decent bit of animals people eat pretty regularly.Especially if you count people with major intellectual disorders as human, in which case almost every animal counts.
Melody and Clover should kiss.
>>742699145I know I shouldn't respond to the bad-faith (literal) shitpost, but Undertale canonically has the existence of souls, implying that monsters and humans are each a class apart from animals regardless of intelligence. Therefore, any ensouled being could not be eaten without it being cannibalism.
>>742699363Being in their own class doesn't mean they're the same thing, in the same sense that humans and apes have a common ancestor but aren't literally the same thing, so eating an ape isn't cannibalism, it's just taboo.
>>742699330Sadie...
>>742699426If monsters coexisted with humans eating one would be a crime just like cannibalism
>>742698835Can we give it a rest already, ntrfag
>>742699932you seem to be mistaken, nobody mentioned NTR here or implied it anon,
>>742699624
