>>742901923ive talked about this at length a bit but the long and short of it is that its not just the fingers, human hands have a lot of specific adaptations that make them good at doing things humans do and expie paws would be shit at nearly everything you want them to do as a human. theyre clumsier, get less motor feedback, have claws instead of nails, have the fur sweat thing, arent proportioned right which would make it more awkward to hold multiple things comfortably... basically, paws are optomized for being on the ground all the time, which means theyre not meant to be holding stuff. when youre only making contact with the ground, you dont need sensory feedback everywhere else, so you don't get any. with hands, the stuff that makes it less useful as a movement tool make it leagues more useful as a manipulator, and it would SUCK ASS to have paws because of that stuff.
