It's like the frog suit or Kuribo's shoe, it's one of those "this power up really doesn't need to exist" kind of things but I'm glad it exists anyway. Mario is still great but games that still emphasize powerups just have it be like a weird incidental setpiece thing like Mario 64 caps, Mario Galaxy powerups, Wonder Flower effects, Odyssey's entire gimmick in general, or generally just flatten the powerups into raw utility like 3D World.We used to just have weird shit cause the developers felt like it.
