No, but Trump was the catalyst. They were so obsessed with him they wrote an entire season (20) built off their own political biases, where the season spanning plot all hinged on Hillary winning the election.
And then she lost, leading to one of the sloppiest course corrects in the show, one they still, to this day, have not fully recovered from.

Season 20 ruined South Park forever. Say what you want about the seasons prior to it, it never got THIS bad.

South park started going downhill when they did the imagination land episodes for me. I did play some stick of truth and liked it, shit is still on my backlog for when I get that particular itch.
