Ok using this tread because the /vg/ is unusable.i have a problem with shadowbringers story and is that it doesn’t know what it wants to be; at least with the previous expansion I knew what can of story the writers wanted to tell, be a regular heroes journey(ARR), about the circles of hate(HW) or a political drama(SB), the quality is all over the place but at least but at least the base was stable; but with shadowbringers I have no idea, It first want to be an apocalyptic story, them it wants to be a political one, then it want to be a fantasy one, it jumping all over the fucking place, you can clearly see when the writers change because of how much the mood changes.They also butcher the job quests for the role quests, so far, I have only done the tank one, but coming from the dark knight one to what ever the fuck the tank role quest was, to say that it was disappointing would be an understatement.

I still play FF14, besides Dawntrail 7.0 and 7.1 being a massive fuck ups in terms of MSQ I would say that the story as a whole is more or less good enough and cohesive to enjoy. However, what I don't like is how the MMO has been getting more and more Disney-fied from AAR onward as time went on, every time we finish an expansion, it feels like we've drugged everyone in the city of the expansion with happy pills and literally every problem is solved and everyone is kumbaya. This is in stark contrast to ARR which shows that normal people are flawed and live with problems like racism, piracy, refugees at their doorstep and shitty elementals killing people in the forest happening where they live, and this shit didn't end when we finished ARR which made the world more real. I just wish the fucking writers wrote more flaws into every new city that we can't just fix.

The first is finding a niche on the MB, but you take a lot of risk here either with your time or your gil and because this game is full of tards and no-lifers you'll have to rotate said niche like every 2 weeks because of market crashes. There were certain items you could buy from NPCs, desynth, and then sell on the MB for 10x profit when desynth came out. Every time I've tried this, some faggot figures it out and I have to rotate out of it. Mass producing and selling windows was great and then some dick made a Youtube video about it. I used to buy up all the materia and flip it right before a patch and then flip it like crazy right before an expac for people going to Mutamix to try to get the new stuff. There's been an overabundance of materia in the game since Stormblood, but it didn't really stop working until Shadowbringers.
