What the fuck is the deal with the bicycle kick in Remix 11. I keep missing it, I can perfect it otherwise. I swear the timing on it is different.

Random chance of one happening every time the cafe updates (which requires you to finish a minigame first, otherwise it won't update). In my experience they are very rare, and shows can repeat before you see them all. Expect to take a long time before you can see them all.

I didn’t think Remix 20 was that bad

It does its job of being an All Star Smash Bros style remix of all the games you’ve played.
>>
I only played the DS one and Megamix, how does this stack up?
Also I guess I should get around to playing the Wii one, I never did all the games in Megamix cause they were locked behind the challenges
>>
>>743230179
Easily clears Megamix, and I'd say it's better than DS. Wii is absolutely worth checking out though, I think it's pretty much the consensus that it's still the best.
>>
Beatspell is too difficult
>>
>>743230116
It's a nice melody of all the games that came before it and I think it works great. I feel like Megamix set people's expectations way too high since that remix was a celebration of the entire series. I clicked on a fanmade Remix 20 people swore was "better" but it sounded like sped up bullshit.

I never understood the moai doo wop hate exactly
its one of my favorites easily, but yes it is terrible to perfect. But i dont know if people are just hating on it due to that or what. Its super easy to superb, it's only perfecting it where it's broken.
Also Rockers 2, what was the issue with that its super inoffensive
>>
is it me or does everything look so fuckable in this game's artstyle?
>>
>>743233131
Rockers 2 was the only song in the entire game that required you to push buttons on a game that is otherwise entirely touch screen.
>>
>>743233131
>what was the issue with that its super inoffensive
It's not actually that bad to play it just pisses me off
>>
>>743233219
Yes, and...?
is this some kind of "cant handle food touching each other on the plate" thing
>>
>>743233579
Imagine that a singular song in Fever requires waggle controls when literally the entire rest of the game uses the A and B buttons.
They didnt have to use the shoulder button, the touch screen controls still would have worked.
>>
>>743233131
I don't know about anybody else, but for me, all games where you have to re-input a rhythm I'm just terrible at
>>
wtf, why was remix 20 so basic?
I was hyped up for max trolling after earlier remixes introduced the concept of overlapping 2 games on top of each other, but there was absolutely nothing to try and trip you up
>>
>>743233131
did you actually play doo wop on the DS? shit's impossible to make the taps register correclty
>>
Tip for Brolly: Hit earlier on the longer pauses.

On Brolly 2 I noticed I was almost always failing on the longer pauses (1 rest 2 rest 3 rest 4). I changed my timing to hit the button slightly earlier than I thought I should during those sections, and instantly got the Perfect
>>
>>743234448
I don't think any final remix has used gimmicks besides fake-out endings. They're always been a straightforward medley. I wouldn't a super tricky one in the future though.

What other gimmick would you even want to see? Can't include stuff like rhythm toys and score games since final remixes only use games you know the controls and cues for.
I could see them mixing up visuals and cues for games that are otherwise identical (example: Spaceball and Air Rally) but that doesnt sound like final remix material, and more for a gimmick youd want extended for a full remix of its own

Top comment pointed out something I hadn't thought about:
>"I love that sequels are getting original music instead of variations of their OG theme"

That's a big W for Groove. This type of high quality shit and the sheer quantity of games makes the lack of unique visuals for most of the remixes and Level 2s sting less.

In some cases its great but the familiarity of the same tune but in an entirely different genre of music felt compelling for some sequels to have. Plus it also reinforced that its "X game's theme" which of course you carry with you in the back of your mind into the final remix.
Im mixed on it but I dont dislike this approach, they technically did this with the Karate Man games in Megamix even if only prequel, Tengoku, and Senior were along the main campaign path.

tfw no built to scale 4
To be fair most have been mid (GBA) or suck (Wii). The series is absolutely hard carried by Built to Scale DS being elder god-tier.
Still a shame they killed the tradition. At least Karate Joe made it.
>>
>>743234563
Fever uses a gimmick where multiple "tap on the beat" minigames appear in sequence without warning you that the game is changing, so you're maintaining the same beat while the visuals/cues change

Ribbit Rocket is probably the most quintessential Rhythm Heaven game in the entire series.

It's Built to Scale levels of good. Wouldn't surprise me if they contemplated putting it as the first game. Maybe they moved it to the 2nd column because its higher concept than Hoop Trundling (which is underrated, the song is a standout).

I like having variety in the length. Synchro Wing is short but complex. Germ Aerobics and Sweeper Star are long but simple. Flutter Speed 1 is just too short and simple, unfortunately
