>>743245294pen island.com has most of them.

>>743240397I'll just get the obvious one out the way:
>>743245294Yeah download Flashpoint, it has almost every browser game ever made. It's about 4 GB after installation and comes with thousands of games, with the other 99.9% of games being downloadable through the launcher.
The writing in this game is so good, I skip the porn.
Flashpoint is a really cool project. I'm always partial to the games that Lego paid for in the early 2000s from Gameslab. They had these games that are only tangentially related to Lego, with a weirdly high quality, hosted on their website as nominal toy adds. The two best were Junkbot and Spybotics: The Nightfall Incident, which are both worth playing right now.
>>743240397oh man i played that game a ton as a kid. what was it called?

Surprised to find this dev is still alive, but working on a Unity VR fighting game. Imagine the good timeline where devs that made the classic flash games kept working on similar games and perfecting the formula. Although the engine could get an upgrade.
>>743246381Monster Mind. It's actually an excellent little puzzle game that'll either make you feel like a retard, or you'll have a hard time putting it down. All the characters feel like fully realized people who have lives of their own, and beliefs independent of the author's. Grovyle in particular was written against Argon Vile's own beliefs. He's gone on record saying he considers much of that dialogue to be hurtful and ignorant, even though Grovyle isn't supposed to be an antagonist or a bad person. Which is a level of nuance and respect that you never see in mainstream games, let alone one where the primary objective is to make on-model Pokemon cum.

One of the biggest reasons Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon put out so many great Flash games is that they both tended to work with the same developers. "This is Pop" alone made a ton of the best games on both websites. If it was a big new release they actually bothered to advertise on the channel, it was probably made by This is Pop.

>>743261045Evil Con Carne was actually supposed to be the primary show at one point. Maxwell Atoms preferred Billy and Mandy, but no one involved with the show expected Grim Adventures to have so much steam behind it until it was the bigger hit. Which is why both survived for a while as separate shows.
>>743245294some sites still host them but either ask you to add the emulator Ruffle extension (Like armorgames does) or download their own flash player (like newgrounds)

there was this cool hacking related turn-based type game that was on cartoon network or lego or a similar site played it almost 20 years ago, does anyone remember a game like that? It was pretty interesting, almost like turn-based strategy, grid based.

did i ever play the fuck out of this game
Alright so I'm throwing a bottle in the sea hereIn the early 2010s, I remember a flash game(I think, it was on that miniclip website) which was a FPS where you played and also shot at robots, I remember being really surprised you could have such graphics running. does anyone remembers this game?
Nitrome was the GOAT of flash but my favorite game of theirs has always been Tiny Castle. It has the coolest level progression of any game I've played. The whole game takes place in this one screen, and as you progress, parts of the castle change around you, with expectations being subverted as to how your actions will change the environment in really creative ways. However, Nitrome doesn't allow Flashpoint to archive their games, and I haven't seen a working version of it online anywhere, including on Nitrome's own site. I'm sure there's a way for a wizard to get it to work, but sadly that is not me.
Flash not only was good for gamers who had very weak computers, but they also were good for aspiring developers to train themselves and develop things at a rapid pace even with limitations. It wasn't just the disappearance of games, it was a disappearance of technology, a disappearance of creation. Nothing replaced it in how convenient it was to use...It's being gone for a long time already...
>>743246228Fuck yeah Spybotics, those Lego games were what started my love of PC gaming and computers generally. Also that world puzzles one, with the "Defender" mechas (albeit probably didn't age as well)
>>743253847game almost gives you a fucking seizure
>>743267506that's weird, that must have been changed at some point because when i used flashpoint like 6 years ago all the nitrome games were on thereit might be because nitrome wants to release them on their own like they did with twinshot on steam
>>743246561Fuck, anyone remember the Ryan Albano mod? Back when Google+ was a thing.
I miss /f/
>>743267379This sounds like Delta Force but idk for sure, your description was super vague. There was also Robot Rage, a pvp 3rd person 1v1 tank combat game. Bother were hosted on miniclip. The former can be played on flashpoint, the latter has an online remake.>>743267714If you haven't been updating the infinity version, you may still be able to play them, but they remove games like those from DLSite upon the devs' request. In any case Tiny Castle didn't work well even when it was on there either, apparently.
>>743256832Fukken based
>>743268101what, and it's one post a year? huh?
>>743267549HTML5 was meant to. But Flash's greatest strength was in how easy it was to get started and have good results. What skills the multimedia features let you save learning about until later. You could start experimenting with game design ideas while knowing barely anything and have a lot of fun feeling it out, even just for your own amusement. That's actually exactly what was good about a lot of Adobe's Creative Suite products back in the day. They were all so easy to learn the basics of that almost anyone could pick them up and start fucking around for fun in the space of a week. HTML5 doesn't really do that. There aren't convenience features or shortcuts. You're responsible for everything it does. You basically need to take a whole community college course on it before you're even ready to start. Which requires you to invest a lot of time and effort into something you don't even know if you'll enjoy.

I recently rediscovered this game I used to play as a kid. I've been looking for it for AGES...
>>743270193I have distinct memories of playing this during the winter and have horrifically chapped lips the entire time that would only get worse the longer I played.
There was a flash game, either on newgrounds or armorgames. It was point and click. You watched "people" through cameras as they walked around a house. All of the people had 3d shapes for heads (like a pyramid or cube) with no facial features. I think it was supposed to be a "horror" game, or at least I remember it being creepy. Any help?
>>743271886?
>>743268553Yeah, that's why it was so great, simplicity is super important sometimes. It started the career of many animators too. and standards at the time were not as high as they are today. In the past you could make something maybe a bit clunky and "mediocre" and still get some people to remembers it fondly. Now they ask people to do professional level shit the moment they start.I guess the world isn't as fun anymore...

>>743269327My high school was weird because there were days we were allowed to go to the computer lab and play this specifically, and to this day I do not understand why.

>>743281869>SubmachineGreat saga, always with an eerie atmosphere. Played the Legacy collection last year and it was as good as the flash games. Although, Submachine Universe didn't make it, instead it got scrapped into a new one that requires finding the secrets from the other games to progress.>Daymare TownAlso great, though way shorter than the Submachine games. I never knew if the 4th game had more than one ending since there was a lot of items with no clear purpose. Haven't played the collection yet.
fuck that computer stage though

>>743245294Flashpoint specifically for flash games. For regular flashes, every flash that has ever been posted on /f/ is archived on swfchan.
>>743286072It's weird to know that almost every Flash game I really enjoyed as a kid, that disappeared "for some reason," was actually just a trivially simple game I was just horrendously bad at. I would anticipate way more complexity than they actually had, never do well enough to be proven wrong, and I would remember the version I made up in my head instead of the one that actually existed. There was this Wonka SweetTarts themed Kula Kula World clone that I remembered as having about 20 extremely hard levels, then I came back to it 15 years later, and it turned out to only have five, which were all piss easy.
>>743246035The Longhair and Double-dome creator NEVER gave up trying to make his caveman cartoon a reality, he failed AGAIN in 2017.
>>743252316>fuarkKill yourself
Looking for the name of two flash games I remember playing as a kid. One was you playing as an armored truck getting shot at by helicopters and you could use their missiles to launch yourself in the air to bounce of the helicopters to destroy them and get points. Another was game where you were a white rectangle climbing up an endless tower of falling blocks as water rose from the bottom, you could go off one side of the screen and appear on the other
>>743291057First is indestructo tank I think.
>>743287643>in 2017Well what about the last 10 years?
I'm looking for the name of a game I'm fairly sure I played on Flashpoint at some stage on the recommendation of a flash thread ages agoIt was something like "quest for the green orb". Crude MS Paint artsyle, Static screens, you move around by clicking on doors/stairs to move to the next room. At one point you have to shrink yourself to talk to mice and they'll kill you if you say a certain thing. Later on you meet 'your rival' in a supermarket and you get a game over if you do the dishonorable thing and attack him first.
