Unlike Champions, Powersets are set at creation which unlock powers as you level, but you are limited to those sets outside of bonus pools. It works out better than Champs imo.

staying as a particular alignment would give you a buff after a week or something. doing the alignment quests otherwise was just a break in the monotony of newspaper missions

The actual server global channels are kinda dead because that's just how thunderspy is. So if you want to chat in-game get an invite to the sg.
