>>743257037
JP3 to me is way too overhated. But the criticism it gets is warranted. The obnoxious family ruins it obviously. Eric surviving for MONTHS on a predator infested hellhole because he was a boy scout over summer vacation is absurd. If I had to rewrite the script it would be he survived because of his stepdad whos alive but dies halfway to the pterosaurs in place of Billy. Billy sacrifices himself to delay the raptors.
>>
>>743257037
first you're implying the second movie disrespect 'em which it's no true as they are usual lethal motherfuckers
if anything it's the third movie that goes even way more on the bullshit edge of things with the wonky communicational thing and all

TLW does disrespect them, because they're these lethal predators that can take out a bunch of guys with guns one moment, but then totally act retarded in from of the main characters for no reason, to the point of them getting killed by a little girl then fucking off for the rest of the movie.
3 actually making them as intelligent as Muldoon described them and having them able to represent themselves as a pack and family unit that can work together and communicate effectively is way more interesting instead of a bunch of psycho slashers that can be destroyed by children. You're wrong.

DESU there was never a moment in the original trilogy where a human effectively kills a dinosaur and its kind of annoying when that persists into the World trilogy...quadrology. All the dinosaurs are seemingly bulletproof, unstoppable abominations who can only TRULY die from natural causes.

>Huitoto people learn hunting, fishing and gathering from an early age, and their grandfather Fidencio Valencia told reporters that the eldest children, Lesly and Soleiny, were well acquainted with the jungle.

>Speaking to Colombian media, the children's aunt, Damarys Mucutuy, said the family would regularly play a "survival game" together growing up.

>"When we played, we set up like little camps," she recalled. Thirteen-year-old Lesly, she added, "knew what fruits she can't eat, because there are many poisonous fruits in the forest. And she knew how to take care of a baby".

Why do /v/ shitposters post things then casually omit all other details? Especially on info that can be easily found. Furthermore comparing it to living on a dinosaur infested hellhole with 7-8 ton predators everywhere?

>>743258963
that's not disrespect
the pack tactics in the long grass scene is a first new example of how much dangerous they are
they are wild creatures whose behavior has logic making them arguably more believable and just as formidable
how intelligent they as they attack the main characters in the camp as in the cabin actually excavating and shit
a raptor dying because of environment or whatever doesn't change things it doesn't erase the rest of the movie
you can't have a cheese fucking scene compromise that cause you would have to discard the third movie entirely then
i understand you're one of those who fellate and assrim jp3 a movie you watched as a child probably the first jp you watched it's ok

I did. I was obsessed with dinosaurs as a little guy, and would constantly rent Godzilla movies and all the Harryhausen shit, and had a stack of dinosaur picture books. JP blew my fucking mind, and while I knew the T-Rex scene was coming because of the TV spots, it actually scared me a little bit. For the next year, it was Jurassic Park toys, school supplies, everything.

The wait between the theatrical release (Memorial Day ‘93) and the home video release (October ‘94) was painful. I even asked for a Genesis for my birthday instead of a SNES just because you could play as a raptor in the JP game, which in hindsight wasn’t a great choice.

In the book there are two teens. A black nerdy kid and a white girl who sneak onto the trailer before it leaves. I guess the movie just decided to cram them into one character, and also make her into Ian's daughter.
>>
I long for like a Jurassic Park duology. The first game would take place on Site A sometime after the first film. The second would take place on Site B, probably after Jurassic Park 3. Since Site B seems like the more difficult location, it would make for good escalation.

You could explore the islands, and even find some leftover stuff from the films, like the Jeeps that the protagonists of the first film were riding on left behind next to the T-rex enclosure, or the Jeep with Nedry's skeletal remains. Site B could have the remnants of the capture party, like the cages and shit from the second film.

I wanted to but my kids are too young to be watching it and no time for it alone. I'm gonna miss this guy so bad. I kept checking up on him over the years since his cancer diagnosis. It's such bullshit that he made it out alive only to die a few months later. It's so unfair. Also really scary for me as I'm about to get my diagnosis (looking like salivary duct carcinoma not a good one) and I'm exactly half his age. Life can be tremendously unfair at times.

Oh shit, really? Well I really enjoyed the mod. I appreciate you restoring all of the game's cut content, and fixing the melee weapons. It's fun bonking dinos on the head.

Fair enough, but it's easily one of my favorite movies of all time, and I'm not even a wh40k guy.

>>743269996
They're pent up. They've spent their entire lives basically being the dinosaur equivalent to the guy in Oldboy, spending 15 years locked in a hotel room with his only contact with the outside world being a TV and an unseen person sliding food through a slot in the door.

Please tell me when I insulted Sam Neil? I said the movie was overrated, and the director is a hack. The movie sucks, he's maybe one of the few redeeming things about it. Plenty of good actors have been in crap movies.
>>
>>743270383
Thanks man. Fingers crossed it's early stage so they can just rip it all out and that will be the end of it. If it's spread then that's that.

>aggressively trying to de-gun Jurassic for whatever reason.
That is a big plot point in the book.
They hired Muldoon as a consultant, and he insisted on a small arsenal of high grade military weapons.
Hammond told him to fuck off because each dinosaur was a massive financial investment and they didn't want anyone shooting at them.
They compromise with the fuck huge shotgun and a rocket launcher that shoots tranquilizer darts.
Both of which muldoon puts in the gas Jeep because he has a bad feeling about the first dry-run of the park with guests.
The problem is that this is the same Jeep Nedry steals to drive to the docks. Muldoon has a whole subplot where he deputizes Genaro and they drive around the island trying to herd the dinosaurs back into containment, and their first mission is to find the jeep with the only guns on the island.
>>
>>743270641
That Muldoon and Gennaro subplot was such a good part of the book.
>>
>>743270641
yes but that's a narrative reason of hammond being a cheap bastard which is not the same as current universal wanting to have its cake and eat it too by treating dinosaurs both as normal animals who should be respected and horror movie monsters that murder hundreds the very first second they can
>>
>>743264851
>How the fuck did the accomplished that
Very little of the T-rex is actually CG, a lot is animatronics, and the big scene is at night in heavy rain which makes it even easier to hide the practical and digital effects.
The movie was also going to use stop-motion for the effects until almost the last minute, so there were a lot of reference and test footage from Phil Tippet that was used to make the dinosaurs feel more weighty and alive and just floating pasted in cartoon monsters.

I really will never understand why no one else wants to make dinosaur movies. So many things you can do besides dinosaur theme-park goes wrong again, again.

They make them. You just don't hear about them because JP casts that big of a shadow.
For example, here's a flick (which like JP is also based on a book) about dinos in 'nam that came out last year.

Americas airborne bio-weapon, Corona, is going to kill us all. Doesn't matter if it gives you cancer and you beat it, as it always finds a way to kill us in the end. This shit is still spreading around, and mutating from one carrier to the next, as it finds ways to break down and destroy humans organs and cells on the inside. You're going to notice a lot of younger people aging terribly fast in the future, and many who dies at an early age. America really has doomed all of mankind with this shit, and it should NOT go unpunished!

>>
>>743273379
Because the ones who don't die young are being kept alive with (metaphorical) devilry. Humans really aren't supposed to live to 90s and beyond, but organ transplants and stem cell harvesting can keep a demon running for decades. Needless to say, they tend to NOT be good people who bring joy to others. They only care about hoarding wealth and playing God, so they have the tools to prolong their own pathetic existences while they let the actual good people die off out of jealousy and spite.

We like to think of our world today as being "full of life", but the reality is that it pales to the biodiversity and lifeness that existed during the dinosaur's time. The only reason why such gigantic creators could exist was because the planet was undergoing an explosion of life and energy and oxygen that allowed it to happen.

Current Earth has a fraction of that potential, so things can't grow nearly as big.

>inb4 Fauchi
You trying to get Fauci off the hook or something, are you really that stupid?

Of course Fauci played a key-part in deploying the bio-weapon for the US government, and it conveniently happened just a few months after China had been negotiating with the Arab countries to sell their oil in Chinese Yuan instead of American Dollar, which would've caused damage to the American economy. It was so fucking sloppy and couldn't be any more obvious that the US has not only killed millions of innocent people with that shit, but also caused huge economic damages to every single country on this planet, not to mention putting a damn Doom timer ticking down on every single human being on this planet. It's already been confirmed that Americas bio-weapon Corona transfers from parent to child as well, no escaping this shit.
