that is an interesting concept. how would condemned pregnant women be treated under colonial english rule? if a woman was visibly pregnant, I imagine they'd at least hold off the execution until she gave birth.

They did.
If you could prove you were pregnant they would give you all the stuff you needed to make sure you were comfortable until the baby was born, because the baby was innocent of any crime, but if they found out that you were faking a pregnancy to get out of torture and execution, they would make the torture much much worse.
