I think owning consoles and stuff is awesome when you're a kid but the older you get the more you realize it's literally just stuff and a modern day laptop can emulate everything you had as a kid and do more. Modern AAA devs take themselves way too seriously and act like they have a chip on their shoulder because they're working in games and not in a more esteemed medium like film.
