gameplay wise nothing really beats MTG, the problem is MTG doesn't offer great first party clients for playing their games. MTG Arena is a textbook example of greedy dark pattern-ridden game with a non existent economy and MTGO is boomerware that doesnt even run on Linux despite being written in C# which is technically cross-platform because they made some design decisions related to a GUI library that made the game not compatible with Linux. That means the only real MTG client I can recommend is Xmage, it looks like an even bigger boomerware than MTGO but its cross-platform and the server is no longer unstable like in the old days, itll take a few games to get used to but once you do it's smooth sailing. Only issue is the XMage is purely gameplay driven, there is no dopamine from opening packs or chasing dailies for credits or getting ticket rewards from Draft or whatever, the gameplay is its own reward

Arena is fine if you want to Draft, haven't played Standard in a while

Stay away from Hearthstone, the current meta is the worst the meta has ever been, every single deck plays itself with absolutely no skill whatsoever
