>>743252339
Which Fallout game had the best side quests?
>>
>>743252339
Arizona Killer is one quest and it's genuinely better than the entirety of fallout 3. Like, the whole game. I wish you could do it for a Yes Man run.
>>
>>743252339
Ghost Town Gunfight
G.I. Blues
Arizona Killer
For Auld Lang Syne
One for My Baby
>>
>>743252975
Another settlement needs our help.
>>
>>743254057
You'll Know It When It Happens is good too
>Yes Man
I mean you can just blast him, for both Yes Man and even House iirc
>>
>>743252339
Cassidy's companion questline
Veronica's companion questline
Arcade's Enclave companion questline
Boone's companion questline
Brotherhood questline
>>
What was OP thinking when he made this thread? Did he think no one could name 5 New Vegas quests?
>>
I only remember the quest where Caesar sends you into the bunker House's robots are in to destroy it, then he just believes you did it even if you didn't because he heard the noise it made. I only remember it because that's when I knew for sure not to take the game's world or story seriously.
>>
Arizona Killer
Jackie Cha- FUCK
>>
nothing about this game was memorable other than shooting ghouls to the moon
>>
>>743253947
Fallout 2 and New Vegas. Fallout 1 also has great side quests but there's too little of them.
>>

>>743252339
The White Glove Society cannibals
The Plant Vault (first time you did it was cool the other 100 made it memorable)
Either finding the legion spy or being the legion spy
Killing the NCR president
Exploring the Gomorrah to either help or catch the Omertas
Helping heal Rex
Finding the old enclave members with Arcade
Finding talent for the Tops
>>
>>743254654
And that's only memorable one because it feels like a Fallout 3 questline.

>>
memorability is overrated. sometimes a game is just fun
>>
is this the one with the guy laying landmines everywhere?
>>
>>743255438
Yeah it's actually kinda crazy how much content Fallout 2 has
>>
>>743252339
>Country Road
>Take Me Home
>To The Place I Belong
>West Virginia
>Mountain Mama
>>
>>743255438
New Reno is fucking great but modern design sensibilities mean we will not see anything like it outside the indie sphere.
>What the fuck do you mean you can only do like a quarter of the quests here per playthrough? Money we spend on content that isn't seen is money wasted! Make the player able to join all four mafia famillies without glitching, just like the guilds in Skyrim
>but that doesn't make any sense for a crime family to let you-
>Just fucking do it, I'm off to go do some more blow.
>>
>>743253947
I loved the finding missing caravans quest and going to The Glow for the Brotherhood quest in Fallout 1.
>>
>>743254926
>yeah it's kino coz it's probably Fallout 3 coded, yeah d-definitely must be!
Holy shit imagine coping this much. It's a nod to the Scientologist in Fallout 2, you fucking dumbfuck Jeet.
>>
Why Can't We Be Friends?
>>
>>743252339
One for my Baby still holds the record in my book.
>>
I found the locations more memorable than what I was doing in them. I honestly can't even remember what I was doing but can remember where.
>>
>>743255958
San Francisco is the most wasted part of Fallout 2 imo. The conflict between the Hubologists and the Shi genuinely had potential interesting but instead they just made the Hubologists a cheap scientology reference.
>>
>>743255835
>Make the player able to join all four mafia famillies without glitching, just like the guilds in Skyrim
iirc you don't actually join the mafia families you just sort of do work for them and its once you actually do get accepted to join one of the families that you will start getting forced to kill off the others.
>>
>>743255438
Yeah maybe if you like Reddit pop culture references
>>
>>743252339
Every Quest in the game
>>
>>743252339
Beyond The Beef
The one where you help the Brotherhood get the Vault components was cool
In The Grass or whatever that was one called (the Vault 22 quest)
The Vault 34 quest (best dungeon in New Vegas, hands down)
Arizona Killer
>>
>>743256669
every quest in NV is a pop culture reference
>>
>>743256651
San Francisco is really just an all around shit unfinished location that had zero potential in any of its concepts tbcfh
>>
>>743252339
i remember doing that new vegas bouncer quest it was great cause after the first day I decided to steal the energy weapons and just mug the van graff store myself because why wouldn't you.
>>
>>743253056
>The moon comes over the tower
Really nigga? That's the lamest fucking quest in all of NV, you just walk to a terminal and back out of the Lucky 38 to deliver that hoe the bad news, that's it
>>
>Fisto
Assume position
>Green / spore vault
One of the things that Neil Druckmman ripped off along with the Pitt for TLOU, it's that obvious
>Vault 34
Worst fucking game design choices ever, heavily scripted so you backtrack back and forth, it's dark, hard to see, all the hazards, elite fucking ghouls, fucking armored, and again, heavily scripted events and spawn point, you know you cleared the room / path beforehand, and boom, a handful of high leveled armored ghoul appeared out of nowehere, had to fucking turn down the difficulty back to Normal for this fucking shitshow
>the whole questlines from fixing up the NCR command lines to supply lines
Yes, training the Misfits, and in that same area, the one 'Hero' that was responsible for many things, that caused your PC to roam around the fucking map to fix the supply lines and figure out what's wrong with the chain of commands and what's fucked with every major Camps.. fucking Hanlon. Again, I've a strong suspicion fhat Neil Druckmann modeled Joel, especially Part II Joel after Hanlon
>Texan Twang
>grey wolf
>old/weak
>sorry puppy eyes, backing down mannerism, carrying guilt, asking for forgiveness
>big egotestical, selfish liar, a hero to some eyes
>has to do what he did coz muh survival muh greater good

What makes NV good is the realism, in a sense that POI's are far apart, believeable settings, to that locale. Most normies can't handle this fact, they want to be handheld and guided along and every fucking 500m away at every direction leads to a shiny new ride, like a theme park / fair. The world revolves around the "special" Hero. So in F3 for instance, in this corner you have the demonic Cthultu rundown underground building, other corner has the Oasis, and the corner has Republic of Dave or the fucking Super Sentai / Kamen Rider MCU Antman Sailor Moon cosplay RP shit, the other corner has the actual main objective and it's a fucking snakeing tunnels you might as well call the game a part of the Metro series
>>
>>743252339
It's been a while since I played it
>Come Fly With Me
>I Fought the Law
>For Auld Lang Syne
>How Little We Know
>Kings' Gambit
>Arizona Killer
This is making me want to replay it now
>>
>>743257441
>he had to turn down the difficulty for Vault 34
F-F-F-FILTERED
>>
>>743257441
>Most normies can't handle this fact, they want to be handheld and guided along and every fucking 500m away at every direction leads to a shiny new ride, like a theme park / fair.
this is literally NVs map.
>>
>>743254956
Trainquility Lane, The Megaton nuke, The tenpenny tower ghoul situation, the quest where Harold shows up
That's what I've got for 3
>>
>>743256860
No, only in names, like they referenced old timey song / lyrics/ movies / tv titles, naming the quests after them, which is neat. The quests themselves are kino. And sometimes it's a given, because it's based on real life location and so real life references, like Vikki and Vance / Bonnie and Clyde.
>>
>>743253947
Van Buren
>>
>>743252339
Come Fly With Me
Beyond The Beef
For Auld Lang Syne
I Could Make You Care
Classic Inspiration

I don't think there's a single other RPG where I remember the names of individual quests
>>
>>743252339
The Boomer airfield quests are distinctly memorable for how boring they are.
>the unskippable museum tour
>slowly backtracking across a big empty airfield field to locate to one of the five, widely dispersed NPCs who comprise their community
>>
>>743252339
Come Fly With Me
Beyond the Beef
For Auld Lang Syne
Arizona Killer

Come Fly With Me Beyond the Beef For Auld Lang Synemind
>>
Not counting any of the main quests or the DLCs quest..

Hard Luck Blues
(if you don't retrack from Vault 34 like a little bitch after your radiation gets too high and use supplies procured on-site to manage it; one of the hardest moral decisions the game forces you to make at the end of the quest)
Beyond the Meat
(so many possible choices/outcomes, true to classic cRPG quests, was one of the hardest quests to design if I remember correctly)
I Forgot to Remember to Forget
(I'd tie this with Cottonwood quest but you don't need to face the Legion in that one if you want to keep neutral karma, this one forces you into a tower defensive mini-game if you want to do with no reputation loss and least casuality losses because you got to get your hands dirty to take out the Legion - Boone by himself won't be able to fend them off)
Restore Hope
(the best NCR quest, makes you work to tip the power balance in the Mojave conflict in NCR's favor and rewards you with a dedicated veteran ranger squad at the end if you maximize the quest hidden morale points - one of the few quests where you feel you brought actual change through your actions)
Bleed me Dry
(for obvious reasons, you explore the most dangerous locations of the Mojave quest, fight off the most difficult creatures and get to bang Red Lucy at the end - paired with Fight Night! unmarked quest, makes you feel the hero Garrant spins around in Freeside when you pay him to raise your reputation)
>>
>>743252339
Beyond the Beef
I Forgot To Remember To Forget
Heartache by the Number
That Lucky Old Sun
For Auld Lang Syne
>>
>>743252339
The one where you help a glowie ghoul cult to escape earth in rockets (they crash and die).
Boone mission when you help him find out and kill the asshole who sold her wife as a slave.
Arcade quests but mostly for the enclave lore.
The whole part after you reach the main street and hunt down bennie and after that witnessing (if you are yet to betray house) how he upgrades its securibots.
And the hoover damn battle, specially if you did the enclave sidequests and they show up to help you.
>>
>>743252339
That lucky old sun
Heartache by the number
There stands the grass
I forgot to remember to forget
Bleed me dry
>>
>>743258003
>>the unskippable museum tour
you don't actually have to talk to pete to get idolized rep
>>
>>743258934
Maybe not, but the whole place sucks.
>>
scary living plants in vault rescue mission

companion quest 3: but with cool power armor as a reward

the one where you have to collect eggs from deadly animals, and get sex and a shotgun as a reward

the one where you decide the faith of a bunch of trapped vault dwellers

the one where you fix the mole rat's broken leg
>>
>>743252339
>Beyond the meat
>Come fly with me
>...hmm...
>...erm... killing bandits
>Killing a super mutant
>Killing more bandits
>>
>>743258003
it took me a really long time to find out that they had a merchant, he's tucked away behind a fence in the polar opposite corner of the hangar from where you enter.
